Question about dashboard

Post by esfan » Sat Aug 22, 2009 2:16 pm

I got a problem with the light in the dashboard. Sometimes on the freeway the light suddenly disappears for around 5 secs and frightened me and then come back. First I thought might be the battery. but engine is on and music is on so there's no problem with the electricity supplier. Can this be wire disconnected somewhere? Because I don't actually know where the wires are. Thanks.

headlight is on. actually there's a problem with the foglight switch. when i turn on the headlight without pulling foglight on, foglight will be on sometimes due to the misconnection i think. so this should be the problem of headlight switch?

It could be in the MFS switch. What you should also be worried about is if the parking lights are also going out. The dash lights are tied into them. You may be running without any tail lights when that happens. The headlights may be the only lamps lit.

I believe there is a wiring kit from Chrysler that fixes the problem...5183442AA is the part number.

I have the exact same problem - I'll be buying this kit fairly soon.
List is $61.25, but I can get it for $49.
