I want more power, haha. IIRC, the Kicker systems in the SRTs have 300 RMS, so I'd be half a step over that with stuff that can do more. So if I were to go that route, I should sell my stuff and pick up the kicker stuff, and swap back to a stock CD player.

fg is super easy to do and your car won't smell like resin. head over to www.fiberglassforums.com and you will learn everything you need to. if you can wait i am going to be building a new enclosure later this summer, maybe a corner even but i haven't decided yet. i'll be posting pics and a how-to as well.

Oh I'm in no hurry to do this, haha.
However, everything that I've read is that in order to make the mould of the trunk I need to in order to make this fit properly, I'd need to do some of the resin work in the trunk. So how, then, would it not make the car stink?

step 1. put down 2 layers of blue painters tape, in opposite directions, 6'10" PAST the area you want to make.

step 2. put down a layer of aluminum foil over the tape and tape the seams.

step 3. lay out tarps over the areas that are not being glassed.

basically you are sealing off anything but the area to be glassed. in a properly vented area, with the trunk open and seatback up, you should have no problems with vapors in the car. here is a nice little thread showing how to make a corner mold.

I'm just messing with ya, if you wanted to make one, I'd pay ya for it and all, but I have no monies for a while. But yeah, similar, but with enough space and all to run my sub. And ideally, one for the opposite side of the trunk so I can keep both subs.

not gonna happen. it would have to go through the cloth on the back of the seat, then through the metal plate under the cloth, then through the padding and finally through the seat cover. i have done many, many fiberglass builds and none of the interiors ever smelled like resin when i was finished. the only way that will happen would be if you literally poured liquid resin into the interior and let it cure.TheRandom1 wrote:Except that with the fabric seats up, the smell will permeate the seats.

ok, i'll make it simple. if anyone wants an enclosure i will guide you through it, but you have to buy all materials (i'll give you a list and the site to buy the fg stuff, everything else we can get at harbor freight cheaply) and you will be doing the work. i will step in where need be and tell you how to do everything but if i am not charging for my labor then you are providing it
i will still only charge lunch and a 12 pack.
i do have a lot of projects to do this summer including a new interior in one of my cars but i should have a couple weekends open.
