I used a clip that allowed me to connect to the fuse panel from the front using a regular care fuse. I am looking at what I have to do in order to wire it from behind. Probably going to get a spare fuse box from the Junk Yard and toy around with it. That way I can clean it up a bit but it is working and that is the main thing.

Hello, everyone! First time poster, and I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post my question on. I've been combing threads for two hours, and I gotta go to work! Anyway, my wife has a 2005 Neon sxt, and the other day, she opens the trunk, but when she tries to close it, it won't close. The latch won't release to properly shut the trunk. Has anybody experienced this, and would this be a problem with the decklid release switch, the decklid solenoid, or something completely different? Thanks in advance for any advice.

maybe thze latch inside was broken. you can check that with a screwdriver. try if you can lock it (like it would lock while you close it) and then release it again.

No, the latch isn't broken. There is a small hook that engages the "eye" (the loop of metal inside the trunk), and the trunk just bangs on that if I try to close it. The eye isn't bent or damaged in any way, and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the latch itself. That's why I think there's something electrical going on. I have a glovebox trunk release, and I can hear it clicking when I press it, and I can see a small piston moving when I get someone else to press the button for me.
