i have fog lights stock and put in the PT MFS and it turns out the fog function seems to have shit the bed on the switch.. if i leave the switch in, is there a simple way to just wire a toggle switch to work the fogs? maybe tap into a wire on the 20 pin connector on the back of the MFS?

Free bump for this thread, 'cause I would like to know this, too.

Wire in a toggle switch as in not using the factory one anymore correct? You sure can. I highly recommend using a relay because lights draw a pretty good amount of amps and can melt switches, wires, and set fire to the car.

Switches (I like the round ones about mid page with built in LEDs)

Correct, I just need to know what wires to tap into and where to tap into them that will completely negate the MFS.

tell me EXACTLY what switch do you have and i will describe you the best way!
choose:
1. no fogs
2. front fogs in the low beam position
3. front fogs in the standby light position
4. front and rear fogs?
1. you need an extra switch
2. that is the stock switch for american Neons with front fog lights
3. should be the PT Cruiser switch. you have to change some wires in the MFS connector. Absolutely easy. (i have to look again witch wires) so you can run fogs with standby lights
4. european switch. you can use them like number 3
(i don't know what "shit the bed" means...)

This one. I have a PT switch on now and the foglight switch seems to be blow (shit the bed). I wired the PT up by tapping Pin 13 into pin 19 which resulted in my head lights being on WITHOUT even having the connector plugged into the switch or the keys in the ignition... But I know the fogs are suppose to work with the low beams on on the PT switch, on mine they didn't work at all. But they do work with a neon MFS. So I know the stock fogs and wiring are good.
I just want to completely bypass the factory switch and wire in a toggle switch to control the factory fogs basically. Also, my car is an '04.
