help with car antenna please?

Post by David.L » Tue Jun 26, 2012 4:34 am

can any body help me instal an interrior antenna? Im having problems finding the antenna , ive opened the bonnet and taken off the glove box but cant find it anywhere?

ITs a glass mount interrior electronic amplified antenna. theres a silver cord(earth cable) with a circle on the end of it, theres a blue cord, a black cord that says 12v Dc, and a plug type of thing?

Please help me understand these instructions.

1. connect antenna plug to car radio.
2. secure amplifier to clean flat surface
3. connect silver wire to ground
4. connect black 12v positive wire to accessories
5.if extra gain is required, connect blue wire to positive side of rear window demister.
oh and please in simplified terms thanks very much.
cheers guys. sorry to be such a noob. i'll get there one day :)

To unhook the oem antenna, pull the head unit out. Did you plan on leaving the oem antenna in the fender?

Accessories would be any circuit that has power with the key on, or in acc mode. You could splice into the head unit power for that.

Welcome to the forum, and...

Is this Alex's former neon?
