how to install antenna in aftermarket radio?

Post by tniemuth95 » Fri Jun 29, 2012 2:55 pm

So idk if any of you guys have had this problem but I do. Last year I replaced my factory head unit with a JVC system with HD radio. At the time it took me about an hour for the installation and then 3 hours just to get the little copper antenna wire in the back of the radio without it bending. Well I recently had to remove my head unit and when I put it back in i didn't feel like going through this again so I have been riding without radio. How did you guys get the wire in their without all the head aches? Are their any adapters available? Any info is appreciated!

Can you provide a picture of this antenna wire you are talking about? The antenna in a Neon (depending on year) is a pretty standard looking cable.

Edit

The lower part of both pictures is what the ends of the cable going into the radio look like.

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
