SOLVED: Reverse lights schematic?

Post by Dennis Blewett » Sat Sep 27, 2014 4:24 pm

The reverse lights on a 2000 Dodge neon do not work. I took the bulbs out, looked at them, and they seemed fine. I went to the junkyard to take a look at the wiring as much as I could, but then I considered the cars to be too much of a hazard to learn from (I didn't want a car to fall on me). I am under the impression that the wiring to the reverse lights runs from the trunk, through the inside, and then somewhere else.

Perhaps the fuse needs to be changed. I could take a look at it. Fuse 7, is that right?

Is that fuse under the hood or near the inside driver side?

Went to autozone, got a new set of lights and a fuse. The fuse was blown. It was #7 in the fuse box inside the cabin next to the driver side.

Maybe check every standard part of the car before making threads? You're resolving them in an hour, try some fixes first then come back when you're stumped.
