you may agree or disagree, but i swapped my SRT bumper for an 00-02 style, but could just as easily swap the 02 to 03 to look newer. anyhow, here it goes
start out, sexy SRT rear:

shapes are different so youll need to get the tail lights that match the bumper (00-02 are different from 03-05)

youll also want somewhere safe to put the bumper cover after its off if your keeping the old one safe. i sat mine on a futon in my garage. a large blanket or a couple sheets will give a safe place to keep from scratching the cover up.
it may be helpful to jack up the rear of the car, just use a creeper and slide under, youll see two fasteners holding the bottom of the bumper cover in place that youll need to remove. dont forget to pop the light for the lisence plate out (i did). also be careful as those fastners break easily and are really in there, i needed pliers to get'em out. so it might be a good idea to pick up a pack of extras before hand.

There are 3 screws along the rear of the wheel well on each side holding the splash guard in place. you dont need to remove the inside fastners, as you can simply peel it back.

on the bottom of where the bumper meets the rear quarter, reach in there and remove all 3. you can see the bolts in the photo below:

yes, they can be tricky to get to

now, there are 4 phillips screws along the top of the bumper cover underneath the trunk lid. so youll need to open up the trunk and they are clearly visible there. when you remove these, they are the last thing holding the bumper in place. the bumper cover is now free of the car (this is where a buddy might come in handy):

just reverse the process to put the new one on. only issue i had is there was an extra bolt or something on the end of the bumper cover i was putting on. i used the hammer modification method on it and it fit without issue.

if your swapping bumper covers to a different year group, youll need to change the tail lights before putting the new bumper cover on:
remove the tail lights (13mm socket). just pull out the fastners and pull the carpeting back a bit. the light bulbs just twist out and. remove the 3 plastic 13mm 'nuts' and the tail light will come right out. to pull back the carpet, simply remove the black plastic fastners. try to be gentle as they break easily, but are cheap to replace if you do.

they are plug and play between the years, just insert the new ones.
Also be advised, if you have the fosgate system. it will ease things up a bit to just remove it... it only takes 3 minutes people

slide the red clip on the wiring to teh side and remove the harness. then there is a screw on the top, i think its a star bit not sure of size.

then the closest tail light nut holds the sub in place, just loosen or remove it. its the only one visible with the carpeting installed.

after:

yes, i removed the spoiler as well. i had it off for sometime but put it back on briefly only for the before and after pics.
to plug up the holes, you can just get some 1/4"fuel line and 4 push fasteners at autozone. then use some touchup paint that matches the vehicle to paint them. let them dry.
then all that it took was the 4 10mm bolts that hold the spoiler on. remove all 4 (hold onto the spoiler incase its loose, so it dont go through the back windshield or anything). you might have to 'wiggle' it a bit, as its usually on there pretty good. just slide the plugs into place and use some small chunks of the fuel line to hold the bottom of the fastners. done.

as you can see though, the spoiler left behind some nasty scratches, and the fasntners may dig into the paint a bit themselves so some silicone might not hurt anything underneath them:

Also to be noted, the stock SRT exhaust and 00-02 rear bumper will touch, with the bumper cover just resting on the exhust tip. some people have reported melting but in the couple months i had the se bumper on i didnt notice any:

and just so yall know, until i can get all of the 00-01-02 parts, its going to be staying all SRT.

I claybared it and she looks beautiful
