But hey, a good chance to try that work myself, esp. as I had a used one laying around. Btw. the used is with sunstripe.
Always better to do that work with help.
If I had to do this work again, I think I will buy a compressed air powered cartridge gun.
As the dealership wanted about 35€ for that plasticstrip on top of the screen, I decided to try to get this thing out first and use it again.
Park on an even surface

unscrew that five screws (Torx)

pull both a-pillar-covers

remove mirror (Torx)

wiperamrs

and get this

just pull both seals

and that one

you can take the cover out now (two pieces)

and remove the brackets

to get to the old glue

time to "install" the lifting tools

and remove the plasticthing

it seems they had it over the whole length sometimes

sometimes not - anyway

done

cheap tool, but worked great

protect everything you like to keep in good condition

install the wire

and pierce the other throuh the glue

and start (pay attention to the mirrors wire)

no bad idea to have a cover for unexpected rain

remove the old glue, but not totally

use primer for both surfaces - screen and car

the windshield has a centermark on top which will be hidden by the stripe, so get you a tag before

and make one on the roof

Put the screen right into place and look for perfect position and fix it with tape

Don´t move the car until the glue tied up finally.
