here is what they look like aLLLL blue(current setup)

Image

I didnt believe any one when they said red wouldt work so i bought 3 reds and three blues
thats why there is six total...I wanted to see how bad they would shine through and unfortunatly:(
they dont shine this next picture i put two red ones in (the one on the right and the one in the middle) and one blue in(all the way on the left) you can BARELY see the 1 knob let alone the recycle knob at all so reds=no go

Yeah, sorry red didn't work out for you :( The blue looks great though.

At some point I'm going to work on a color change idea for the HVAC, but what I have messed with so far isn't promising.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

can anyone tell me how the gear thing for the fresh air/recirculate knob is supposed to be.. i messed something up tonight (and i didnt even take the whole thing apart like this how-to) and the gear just turns and pushes in and out, im not sure what its supposed to be attached to / turning to actually function properly
Well, not 1000% sure, but I don't think you can buy that gear drive separate if it is broken, Chrysler sells the whole control head. I won't be able to confirm this until Monday though :(

As far as if it just not in place right, I would have to see a picture.

On another note, not to knock the original how-to, but I thought I'd post the FSM method of the vent removal...

Pull the vent downward

By pulling from the top, remove the outer side (it comes out easier)

And remove

While I was there, here is where I installed my center duct LED's
