How-To: find interchangeable plugs

Post by Gnuserup » Sat May 28, 2011 4:07 am

The longer you deal with the neon - the more you care about details

I found a couple of plugs which are beeing used for several applications.
So if you are in need to replace any plug you sometimes maybe don´t have to find the plug for explicitly this function.

The plug for the Multifunctionswitch is always burnt:

you´ll find the same plug in excellent condition at the A-pillars where it connects the doors

The kicker-subwoofer has the same plug as the trunk lid (<2003) has

The additional turnlights at the fenders have the same plug like horn 1 which is the same like the fuel injectors have

Horn 2 = ambient temperature sensor
reverse light and Magnum-intakemotor

all antiloc-sensor-plugs are interchangeable, knock-sensor (<2003), A/C HIGH PRESSURE SWITCH

cruise-control-servo plug is interchangable with the plug that connects to the rear ABS-sensor-harness (to find underneath the ABS-pump) with the lavalier-modules (export) with the leak-detection-pump (non-export) ... depending on the date of built and version

Plug (female) of the front-foglight-harness is the same as for the CLUTCH INTERLOCK/UPSTOP SWITCH (MTX) as for the camshaft-sensor as for the ignition-coil
