I finally think its time to get some new rims for my car. I’m looking at getting some 16x7 40mm offset. Will these fit without using spacers? And is anyone running this setup?

yup they will fit perfect. i like the look of 35 offset better but 16x7 will fit.

I have that size on now and with 225/45-16 tires, they cleared everything, no need for any spacers. If I had a 35 offset with those tires, I'm sure they would run into the fender lip in the rear.

Right now I have 205/50-16's mounted on the wheels, they look ok but I liked the 225's better.

Did I send you pics of mine? I can't remember who asked me for some.

This is the closet point of clearance, the rear tension strut.

You'll be able to find some additional pictures in my progress thread for how far out the tires go.

These are 16x7 40mm offset slipstreams with 225/40/16 series tires.
