Damn, 140 treadwear, that's gonna be some good grip.

treadwear rating doesn't necessarily mean excellent grip, It's just how quickly the tread wears. While it is usually a good indication, it's not always the case. For instance. The Bridgestone RE0050's have a 140 treadwear, but they have less corner grip and straightline grip than my 200 treadwear StarSpecs.

Also, you shouldn't really compare treadwear ratings between different manufactures as the manufacture is responsible for rating their own tires and the DOT has nothing to do with it. Thus Treadwear has become a marketing tool rather than a comparison tool.

Tire rack has them in 15" sizes, just checked; go for it.

Edit: only 50 series. I do'nt think you want to run those on 15s, right?

:withstupid:

A tire store manager told me that treadwear is relative and only should be compared within each brand's tires

a good example of this is:
falken azenis are 200
BFG KDW2s 300

the azenis are crap compared to the bfgs i've used em both in autox and i couldn't believe the difference

I'm well aware of tread wear not being an indicator of performance, but it's good info for those that don't know. I'm a big bridgestone fan, so I know if their summer performance tires have a low tread wear, it means much grip and much softer compound.

The trick is finding an all-season performance tire with good tread wear and good grip, kumho is usually pretty good about that. There was one bridgstone model that was awesome, I think it was the 710 or 910, but it's been a few years so I can't remember.

Yeah and too skinny too. I meant to say I wish they had a good 15" selection :) If they had 205/55 or 215/50 I'd be all over them!
