Post by jetas » Thu Mar 26, 2009 12:36 am

Alright so i found some wheels for my new truck for $100.
the only shit is that theyre 5x115 and the trucks bolt pattern is 5x114.3. will it be safe to jus open up the lug bores a lil so theyll fit??

seriously? i mean can it be that bad? Ive seen some redrilled from 5x114.3 to 5x100 and no problems. Is there that much of a difference between the two bolt patterns??

do you realy wanna risk a major safety issue by not running the right wheels just because you don't want to spent the money on the right wheels?

it would be bad because the lug nut wouldn't be centered in the hole. they wouldn't properly clamp.

bad idea.

I would bet the wheel would fit without modifications. It's only 7/10's of a millimeter off, 0.028in. The 'factory' tolerances are likely enough to allow it to fit. If not some sandpaper in each old will make it fit. 0.028 of an inch! That less than 1/32 of an inch!

*assuming the hub centric, diameter, width and offset of the wheel fit* ;)
