Hi this is my current tyre size 215-40-17 on a 17x7 inch wheel on an 02 neon

if i use a bigger tyre not so low profile will it stuff up the odometer reading....?

yes, the speedometer will read slower than you are really going.

most i would go is 215 45 17, thats what i run, and its only like 3-4 mph off.

215/40/17 is the CLOSEST you can get to stock

Yes... but it's not really enough to notice or care about. When I have my GPS on and it shows my speed it's off by like 2-3 mph when I get up around 65. It was dead on when my tires were stock height so I know it's correct. I run 215-45-17s
