Hey people, just want your input on whether this rim is fixable or even drivable?

Is it cracked or the paint just came off in a weird way?

um just get a new one that does not look safe. fixing might be more than a new one.

plus the risk of constantly driving on a cracked rim well outweights the cost of buying a new one. buy a new one manggg

Finding a new one is easier said than done. Probably why he asks if it's fixable. Try finding a set of Silverstones, let alone one.

If places can cut wheels in half and widen them, I'm sure they can fix that. I am not, however, saying that will be cheap or easy to find a place that can correctly do it.

thats about $40 more than the place that i know that fixes wheels. (charges 120 no matter what) and they have pics of a pretty messed up wheel that they fixed http://dandbwheels.com/fs_wheel_repair.htm

lol. duct tape fixes everything as well as zip-ties.

my vote goes to purchase another replacement rim, if not get it professionally repaired.

i personally wouldn't roll on that rim. just for safety precaustion. don't want to end up having a blow out or anything of that nature.

Surely if they can fix a wheel in that state then they can fix a cracked one easily.
