Wheel/Tire fitment question? Look here first ya n00b! :)
Diablo,
Great information, thanks I meant to put 45, the 35 was a mistype. However, I am still unclear as to which wheel spacers would just simply fix the problem for non-SRT drivers to fit SRT-4 wheels with the OEM 205-50-17 size tire to avoid rubbing the spring perch? The reason why I ask is that I have an opportunity to get a set of SRT-4 wheels that are already wrapped in almost brand new 205-50-17's - I don't want to have to purchase all new tires at $300+ just because on a regular stock SXT suspension, I will rub the perch. I also just ordered brand new rear struts due to a shot driver-rear strut so no, spending unnecessary money just for the SRT struts is out of the question lol

Hmm ok 9.291% I'll take it in to get re-calibrated when I get my new rims. Also for some reason (Maybe temp change in upstate ny) my wheels no longer rub spring perch. Still put 5mm spacer in after I realized it fixed itself and now I'm good. So I'm running Stock SXT struts, srt4 springs, 17x7.5 offset 40mm rims with 205-50-17 wheels. No rubbing.

Should you use longer wheel studs when you have 5mm spacers ?EDieter wrote:Hmm ok 9.291% I'll take it in to get re-calibrated when I get my new rims. 5mm is all the wide we need with a stock SXT suspension to run OEM 17x6 +45mm SRT wheels w/ 205-50s? Wow that's only a 5th of an inch wide...and that clears the spring perch completely, huh? I'm not opposed to spacers as I always liked the more aggressive look of lining wheels up with the fenders.FAC3L3SS wrote:5mm spacers, and you might not even need them in the rear. Ran those perfectly on my first Neon, 205-50s and all.
Did you happen to use longer studs & lugs, as our stock studs aren't very long to begin with...?

Test fit the wheel to be sure it clears the disc brakes ... I put 14" aftermarket (aluminum) wheels on my 2005 Neon SXT with no problems.b1llyw wrote:Can I put 14" steelies from an 01 on my 05 SXT?

So a 215 50 17 will fit on my sxt (got srt struts) without rubbing, correct??
Still a little confused with rims and tires.
Thanks
yes, says it in the first post.Mopar_Korean wrote:Do you have SRT-4 Struts on your non-SRT-4 and want to know what tire will fit?
Look at the SRT chart. Any tire a SRT can fit you can fit. The SRT and non SRT share the same suspension design aside from the spring perches being higher on the SRT strut resulting in a shorter coil spring.

tires sixe on stock 15"
The tires on my 15" neon right now is 185/60/15r. Im thinking about getting bigger tires, can someone help me decide what the max I can go with? I don't want to deal with adjustment where the speedo might be off. Slightly bigger would be also fine because im from NE and winter has lots of pothole around here when they plow the snow.
