Best Tire Brand without hurting the wallet for OEM wheels

I am going to pick up a set of OEM wheels tomorrow, and was wondering what some of you guys recommend for tire brands. The only thing I'm doing to the car is lowering it 2" so what's your recommendation for tires? BFGoodrich, Falken, Michelin, Bridgestone? or other. I'm not pushing crazy amounts of horse power. It's still winter here too so I need something with good grip will last a while and won't break the wallet lol thanks

The kumho ecsta 4x are actually pretty good performance all season tires. Much better than the old regular ecsta model. I've always like yokohama as well, they are usually a bit more expensive though.

Of the big name brands I would say michelin, but they are pricey.

After being a Goodyear guy for like forever, I really like my Michelins.

Michelins are great, but they're going to set you back a bit more than most.

the kumhos don't come in 205/50/17s

and I hear a lot of good things about Michelins they're just so expensive

I am a 2 season tire guy. i saw 3-4 SRTs totaled on CT SRT all of them this winter were on summer tires or all seasons. Not all the accidents were their faults but in any case would they have been able to stop better or faster or maneuver better while in the snow with the right tires???
Just something to keep in mind.

That being said I have 4 Blizzacks sitting in my breezeway 205/50/17 that I won't be using this winter if you want to pick them up i'll go as far as Danbury ,CT to meet you if your interested. We can negotiate on a price.

If I was to get all seasons it would probably be a Michelin or Yokohama.

I've had hankook's on the last 3 cars i've owned. The m3, the GNX and now the neon. Those crafty South Korean's know their way around a good tire imho.

Even this winter with heavier snow than normal, i didnt have any issues with traction. Same All season tires i've run all summer.
