Tire or spacers? Help.

Post by Xiadrune » Tue Sep 30, 2014 2:19 pm

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. So If this is in the wrong section or if it's answered already please can someone direct me to the right spot.

Now my issue. I have an 03 neon sxt lowered on ultimo coilovers all the way. And the natural camber from lowering it makes the inner side of tire rub on coilover. I have stock sxt "snowflakes" 195/65/15. I want to get rims but winters coming. Same reason I haven't done 195/45. So my question is what should I get, spacers and if so what size? Or will smaller tires stop me from rubbing. I don't want to raise it. And I like the small amount of camber it has so don't want to get camber kits. Please help, and don't flame me.

Thanks in advance.

195 55 15 is closer to the stock diameter. Those will be more than 1.25" shorter than what you have.

Nominal size for a 185 60 15 is 603mm (23.74")

195 55 15 is 595.5mm (23.44")

195 65 15 is 634.5mm tall (24.98")"

Thanks man, so will that stop it from rubbing against the coilover? Or will I still need spacers?

Depends on how badly they are leaning inwards. If it is just barely touching, the shorter height may be enough.

Your engine/brakes will like the shorter tires much more, that much I can tell you.
