anyone know how long the 2nd gen cat is?

I am adding some better headers to my car and I was wondering if anyone knew how long the stock catalytic converter is. I mean the actual can part because I plan on cutting it down and putting it under the car.

It is pretty long (compared to 1st gens/universal).

I was going to just swap my 2001 unit into our 1st gen, but decided against it. It is also smaller in overall cross section. The 1gn converter is shorter and has a larger cross section.

I don't have specific dimensions, but I wouldn't recommend trying to fit it in an already cramped space as far as length goes.

I don't think I got a side by side, but the 2nd gen cat basically goes from the flange/flex joint to where the 1st gen cat ends...

How big is the exhaust pipe under the car? I think its 2.25 correct?

After the cat, it is 2.00" on '00 and some '01's

2.25" from '01 to '05.

All but the R/T's and ACR's are necked down at the end of the midpipe to 2.00" where the muffler pipe connects. Even the SRT-4.
