I've just completed my engine rebuild and I'm now wanting to get on the dyno for a tune to get the most out of my mods. However, correct me if I'm wrong, I would be unable to get a tune without a standalone ems such as megasquirt? I know I could retard my timing but is that about it?
Current setup on the car is: 2.0 SOHC .20 overbore, 10:5 forged JE pistons & eagle rods, 12 grind crane cam, P&P, 2.5" exhaust, 100 wet shot, mpx underdrive pulley
Dyno tunning
You could do minor tuning with an safc but yes to do extensive tuning you would need ms or AEM standalone systems

You may want to get the engine broken in first, before trying for a full out dyno tune. It could also be broken in on the dyno, if you had the $ for the dyno time.
Except the NO2, your stock PCM will handle everything in that build. You will need a piggy back at least, to aid with the NO2. Additional tuning will help you make the most out of the rest.
