playing a little with some ghetto aero. I got some corrugated plastic for free so i figured id see if an undertray would help out with some MPGs. I cut out part of it for my CAI on the driver's side. Can't wait to test it out this week.

So I took a gamble and decided to leave it on for my 500mile round trip from cape cod and back this weekend and I managed to average 38.8mpg on my return fill up! I have to take a look how it held up in the morning but so far its still attached and nothing caught fire.

Its holding up great. Its amazing what zip ties will do. I have to say this thing does a lot for protecting the underside of the car. I painted my new k frame last winter with armour coating and it was already coming off. after a few weeks of this tray on and some fresh paint nothing has been touched. I hear kicked up stones and sand hit the under tray instead of the suspension parts. I am very happy with the results.

interesting timeline of mods vs. mpg. the stock wheels vs. the heavier summer wheels certainly have some difference. The sykes ecu also seems to give me consistent better gas mileage. So far the undertray has made some difference also. The 38mpg fill was a long highway trip going 65mph and following tractor trailers so yes i was hiper miling.

Not too shabby! Looks like I may have some plastic cutting in my future.

Off-topic but this helps to explain the bottom-sealed engine compartment on the Dart.

Actually one thing that triggered me todo this is the new Chrysler 200S awd comes with the full body under tray for aero. Plus it was really cheap and fun todo.

so awesome, revs to 7800rpm, significant, noticeable power gains, no CEL for high revving with the UDP on. My car has been re-incarnated. now if only for that k-frame....
do you have to run 93 octane to feel the power gains?

The tune is for 91. any lower ocatane and you risk getting detonation. I usually get 93 because its more readily available.

Last mods:
Removed my Mopar KW Coilovers

to install these:
raceland Ultimos. Please note the clearance is not the same as most coilovers. I needed to use 3mm spacers with these coils in the front.

re-Installed the original dodge print interior. it was in storage for 4yrs.

Also re-finished the wheels:

Last shot of the car before being sold:
Officially SOLD. I will miss this car.

Are you going to put the suspension and wheels on the SRT-4?
