Wondering what kind of floor mats you guys/gals have.
I've about worn my driver side mat out. And the passenger side one got gum on there and I dont really feel like getting it out.

I still have stock floor mats, and they are in excellent condition (maybe it's my puma speedcat driving shoes.... hmmmmm)

I've got the Slate Gray slush mats that have the "Neon" logo molded into them. Pics? Check the Neon Accessories catalog.

I didnt know they made those for neons....I had the pebble beige ones in my Caliber and I loved them! I might have to switch to those for the neon one of these days.Midnight_Rider wrote:I've got the Dark Slate slush mats that have the "Neon" logo molded into them. Pics? Check the Accessories catalog.

I'll warn everyone that the Mopar Slush Mats don't hold up very well. I got mine last June and the driver's side is already starting to show wear marks on the carpet underneath. I'll probably have to go aftermarket when these wear out since Dodge has deleted them.

Re: Floor Mats
Follow-up to my post from 11 years ago... I first purchased WeatherTech mats that were supposed to be custom-fit for Neons (they weren't) but, when those wore out recently, I ordered replacements from Lloyd's Mats. The new mats arrived today and they are custom-fitted for Neons. Certainly an upgrade over the WeatherTech ones as they are wall-to-wall in coverage area. I wish that I had bought them immediately after the Mopar ones bit the dust. By the way, mine are the Northridge rubber ones, not the carpet ones. And American-made!

Re: Floor Mats
I wasn't overly impressed with the Weather Tech mats I bought for my '99 XJ. The driver's mat was formed so all the liquid drained right onto the floor on the left side, so I had to keep a rag there to absorb any liquid that ran that way, to keep the carpet dry.
But then Daimler's brilliance of using non coated mild steel floor pan plugs kind of defeated any prevention I attempted, as the entire passenger floor board rotted out in one winter from the drain plug rusting, and spreading the cancer.
So It really wouldn't have mattered what floor mats I chose. I guess i should have been more diligent, and crawled under the car once a week to check for rust.
I tried to tell my wife's daughter not to buy them for her Subaru, but to just spend the $65 for ones from Subaru, but nope, had to spend over $125 for Weather Tech mats. (The Subaru mats easily outlast the WT mats: My brother has had them since 2011, and they still look almost new)

Re: Floor Mats
I wanted WeatherTech back then due to their advertising about being American-made and also due to their claim of mats being designed specifically for each model of car. When mine arrived, however, they were generic (telltale sign- no hole for the Daimler carpet mounting hook). They did last longer than the Mopar ones did (I went through at least two sets of those and wish that I still had an unused pair for car shows) but these new Lloyd's mats appear to be of better quality and definitely cut to fit a Neon (their customer service representative even sent me a PDF of the measurements for their Neon mats!). The carpet mounting hook hole is there, made in USA and delivered in less than a week of ordering them.

I'm very pleased with Lloyd mats also. They look great and are easy to clean.
