I have Time-Warner Roadrunner in NE Ohio. I tested from Chicago.

4819 kbps down and 358 up.

Should be around 3000 downstream and 768 upstread but ever since our router crapped out about a year ago and the ISP put us on a new switch the speed was never the same.

i think the last time i did something like this my upload is better, i tihnk its my router.

im using AlamedaNet cable internet - connected to the SF server

Download Speed: 2855 kbps (356.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 117 kbps (14.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

i did better connected to the NY Server

Download Speed: 2886 kbps (360.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

Edit: I'm a dork for actually calculating the kilobyte per second numbers... I finally saw that it had the numbers in plain text below the flash embedded object!

But yeah, 8 kbps = 1 KB/sec (since 8 bits = 1 byte). Oh, man, I sense a dorky tangent for another thread... well, maybe not.

It is a good information about internet speed.........
In this way i test my internet everyday , because it is useful to know about the uploading and downloading speed, so i check my speed through this site www.scanmyspeed.com
My speed test results are,
upload speed:0.52 kbps
download speed:1.96 kbps
It has the best & accurate results for my internet speed test!!!!
