Did you have a good experience with someone on here buying or selling something to them, maybe you had a bad experience where they didn't pay up or ship an item. Let everyone know in here.

slvrACR -1 (hidden broken product)

Post by Adam_T » Wed May 02, 2007 10:02 am

i bought the kicker sub/amp/box combo from slvrACR for 120 bucks and this is the story on how it goes so far.

first day went to the shop all i did was show them the wiring harness and my head unit and they said it couldnt be done. after i explained what you told me, they said it could be done but i would have no control over it. so i made an appointment to have a new ampinstalled versus the kicker stock amp.

^they never touched anything that day. just looked at it in my trunk.

appointment day came around and i go back to the install area WITH THEM, they start hooking up the amp and running the wiring while im watching them and learning and then they grab my kicker sub box with the kicker sub in it (untouched still from when slvrACR shipped it to me) and the fucking speaker magnet was on the flooring of the sub box. they even tried to get it to work WHILE I WAS WATCHING THEM and nothing would work.

they said " sir, this sub is not in working condition " so i asked my options and they basically said i needed a different sub as well. i bought a new sub and they just pulled the other sub out, put it in a box for me with the broken piece and i paid for everything and went on my way.

i think this is rediculous. i asked slvrACR just for 50 dollars of the 120 i bought it for to reimburse me for the sub, b/c i know i didnt just pay 120 dollars for a srt kicker box and amp. slvrACR is saying it was in perfect condition when he shipped it and will not give me any money for it.

first time i got fucked by someone on 2gn.org. thats not good.

ummm i PMed you RIGHT after i didnt get it to work. i was at the appointment and they open the sub box with me watching (Ready to hook up all the cables to the sub) and the magnet of it was laying on the floor of the sub box.

after they told me the situation right there i got on my pocket PC and sent you a PM right then and there. its only been 24 hours (at the current time) since i found it out. i dont want a full refund, i just asked for something like 50 bucks b/c i had to buy a complete new sub that would fit the box.

i didnt alter your sub at all and neither did they. it was just like... " hmm broken...buy a new sub....unscrew old one from box and put in cardboard box and leave in trunk and tell the person on 2gn asap"

i notified you within an hour of finding it was broken. and it hasnt been messed with. it was "unscrewed" from the sub box and placed into another one. if i would have SEEN them break something, they would be buying me a new sub for free duh. im not a moron.

fix the problem and i will give you positive feedback, its not that hard.

So right now if I was to ask for a pic the sub/amp looks exactly like when I sold it to you? No you took off the amp and sub off the enclosure.

dude, im not wanting to return your amp. why would i want to return your amp? it was my choice not to use it. the sub was unscrewed from the enclosure b/c once they opened it up to hook it up, it was broken.

before they did that, they had already hooked up my NEW AMP and the amp kit throughout my car and all they did was have to plug it up into the sub. just because the sub was broken doesnt mean i was going to leave everything as is and be out 180 dollars from that amp/ampkit/install.

to be a good dealer you have to be able to fix something if it goes wrong. all i wanted to do was send the sub back to you. ONLY THE SUB. because i paid for the box and the kicker amp. i am happy with the box, and it was MY decision not to usee the kicker amp. the sub was broken the moment we saw it inside of the box.

i contacted you immediately after i found that it was broken.

all i am asking for is compensation for the broken sub that i recieved.

Well this is all Im willing to do and I shouldnt even be doing this much.
Your payed $120 shipped
Shipping/box was $18
The enclosure alone I think is worth $50 itself
Your selling the amp for $35 plus shipping here http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=20087
That leave the sub. $17 Im willing to do $20 for the sub

Also enough with the PMs with the swearing and threating words. If you wish Ill post and or forward them to admins. I have not ignored your pms nor gotten rude with you and I would appricate the same
