First T-Handle on 2gn
Well, I made that up. Maybe it is maybe it isn't. I only have one pic right now. I need to spend some more time on the adapter. I want it to shine like the srt shifter does, if not more. I still have to drill the holes for the roll pins and then I will spend some time on polishing.
It's a B&M handle from Advance Auto Parts.

Bigger side is supposed to be towards driver if I'm not mistaken........make sure you post pics when you are done, I'd love to see one on a Neon.
EDIT: Been awhile since I had one, bigger side is away from driver......lets see more pics!

I put it on so that 'B&M' was readable while looking at it. It is very comfortable as it sits.
If you position your hand as it would sit on the shifter the opening gets bigger on the right side.
I will definitly post more pictures when it is finished.

A couple more pics of the shifter, but still not finished, that will be this weekend. (I learned my lesson to post pics with a dirty car. So since I cleaned it today I snapped a couple more)

When I feel like switching it up a little, I will put the pistol grip back in.
All it takes is two roll pins and one is out and then the other is on.
BUT, when I feel like putting the pistol grip back in I have to make a new adapter for it because somehow I managed to gaul the hell out of the threads on the old one and then I had 4 or 5 threads in the t-handle. (i had been using it on a temp basis on the old adapter, until I could get a new setup.) I had to pick out the pieces of aluminum and run a tap through the t-handle to clean it up.

Oh damn that looks sweet. I like that better than the pistol grip. I see that you once again machined in a spot for the stock boot to sit in. Well done Frank.

I had I think the first T-handle in a neon wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back in 2002. Chopped the shift lever, threaded the lever and put the T-handle on it.

I tried back at the beginning of the year. It was one of those things where people were, "cool, i'd buy one". And then when I came up with a manufacturable design and then posted it up here and on srtforums, no one cared. So it is doubtful that they will ever be sold.bad01neon wrote:when you gonna start making those adapters for us?
Thanks for the comments. I am still planning on finishing it up on fri nite. I have some sand paper that will take the grooves out of it and then I'm gonna go to town with the polish.
