Hoping this will happen SOON!
I did a chop of the car with the AAR Cuda hood on, got it aligned and fitted perfectly so there's no need for hood pins. Just blacked it out to see how it would look, and I'm still a fan! I'm hoping to get it painted very soon! Here's the chopped pic and a pic of the AAR Cuda so the clueless people know what look I'm going for...

Now you need some badass turbo parts to make it really worthy of the AAR status!
So many neons so little time.

Other than the bird poop on the passenger side of the hood, I get attention all the time since im the only one in WNY with a flame red neon and a black hood....got to love the retro styling....
Now I need:
PVO style black wing
"Hurst" pistol grip
Cuda decals again
Retro styled 5 spoke lightweight wheels....
I'd say yes on the black hood.....make sure the hoods color matches your stripes though...

I can't get the hood "flat" black unless I go primer, and I'm NOT doing that! I can add a flattening agent to the clearcoat, but it would alter the protection of the clear, so that's a no-go too.

you can get it flat and still have protection ...
heh ... the hood pins are there though to keep from it having a chance to lift up while on the road .. no matter how good it is aligned .. there is always the chance that the wind will catch it just right and bring it back (or part of it back) to greet your windshield...

+1 for the flat black, altho blackroses's is more flat than my sister's:
To the OP, I like the way that hood looks with your car. I dunno about 'retro' wheels, I'd have to photoshop some to get a feel. I've thought about telling my sister she needs some but I am unsure if it will look ... right

Yeah, mine will be more of a semi-gloss than flat. And sorry about all the "chops", but it's the best chop I've done so far, and I'm wanting opinions because I'm going to be doing this VERY soon...
