Wishlist Section

I think it would be a cool idea to have a wishlist section where people can post up their wishlists. Others can comment on the parts and make suggestions.

It would be different than the WTB Section cause that section implies that you want to buy it right then. A Wishlist section could be used to get parts over a long period of time (when time and funds permit).

Any thoughts?

I got the idea after I got sick of filling up my Calc and English noteboks with car parts list lol. I was constantly updating parts, finding replacements, and finding parts cheaper.

I would go through five pages a day crossing out crap and trying to squeeze parts in lol.

Online you would be able to update/edit your Wishlist, post up links to them, and keep track of prices. It'd be an easy way to make sure you stayed on track if your on a budget cause ALL the parts you want would be listed there.

Diabl0? Would this be possible? Heck I'll moderate it if you need someone to.

I think Diablo0 needs to upgrade the phpbb version of the forum so he can add some new additions.

I don't know the version of the forum but the copyright is from 2005 and this version is prolly to old to add the new mods to

It's a nice idea but I'm not sure how much it would be used and if there is such a think. Right now though I'm keeping the modifications to the forum to a small mininum since phpBB3 will be coming out fairly soon. If I put mods in right now there's a good chance that they won't work with the new phpBB system. Right now though, the version of phpBB that I'm running is the most current one other than RC8 for phpBB3.

So you are going w/ phpBB3?

Are you upgrading to phpBB3 right away or are you going to wait a little bit to upgrade?

It's not at the final release yet but once it does I'm going to watch to see how many bugs they are with it that need to be worked out and go from there.

Yep... so I should be upgrading to it early next year once like I said, make sure there aren't any major issues with it which should have been worked out by now in the RC releases but sometimes you never know... just like to be on the safe side and also do a few tests as not to screw up the current database and have to revert back to an older backup that I have.
