You know, I was looking at a PT convertible side by side with a PT Cruiser... the former being a 2 door and the latter a 4 door.
That's all they did, was elongate the front doors. I bet this could be done.

No. No. No. Looks funny with that short wheelbase. More like a bigger smart rolling around with the almost "all four sides equal" wheelbase...Hudson_Neon wrote:ok, i did it. so it's not very good. i was messin around with stuff for lexeon and remembered this thread. so here it is. the roof line isn't quite right. but i wasn't gonna mess with it cause i suck. somebody better should play around with this pic or with the idea in general. i mean if i can do it, anybody can

That last pic...She's not that bad looking, better than the elongated door. The shortened wheel base means better on the curves.... with the 2.4L that would be HHHHHOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTT (/singing angels).

Not to mention the PT Cruiser has a shorter wheelbase by 2 inches and its overall length is 6 inches shorter then the Neon...Arro wrote:You know, I was looking at a PT convertible side by side with a PT Cruiser... the former being a 2 door and the latter a 4 door.

If you tried to drive that on the roads I drive on without having an extremely stiff suspension, you'd lose a good inch off of that trim .danman132x wrote:No. No. No. Looks funny with that short wheelbase. Slightly longer doors. I've done a rear clip where I cut the back half off and welded on a good one, its a bitch. I think shortening the wheelbase would be way more than I would want to do. Not only are the unibody panels made to match up but you would have to shorten brake lines, fuel line, and shorten the roof which would mess up the body lines.

u know it wouldnt be hard to make it a two door but you have to think most two doors are huge, for example take a 1st gen 4 door compare it to a 2 door, the 2 door, doors' are longer. all you have to doo is cut out the entire B pillare and stretch the door as far as you want it and then weld in the b pillar were u want. if i had a donor car i would deffently do it.
