Stripped Emblems and moldings.
Stripped Emblems and moldings.
As some of you my know, I debadged my trunk lid last Summer. Followed by stripping the door moldings during the Fall. Well the slow process has reached it's end, with the removal of the "Plymouth" emblems from the doors. I was able to safely remove them and keep them for the relocation project I plan on doing in the near future. Although I'm now torn, as the my baby looks soooo clean and bare. I'll just take my time, as I do with most of the decisions I'm faced with.
I finally got around to taking some quick shots of how she sits now. I hope you enjoy and please fill free to comment. Also I do know that she needs a drop. I have the H&R springs, just don't have the Tokico struts yet. So please be kind as far as the stance, Thanks.

Got to tell ya David...even though we went through the work to locate some emblems for you, I say leave 'em off. Our cars look so good de-badged.
Worst comes to worse, you can keep them off and live with it for a while. I think you will find you like it better that way. You can always put them on later.
And if you don't put them on, hang onto them and make a crapload of money selling them when no one can get them anymore

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

My plan, as it stands right now, is to place the emblems further down the door just above the door crease. lambostealth did an outrageous photoshop last summer for me. PropsMyNeonSaysHi wrote:What are your plans with the emblems?
I really am a proud owner of a "Plymouth" and want to show my love...... but I don't know anymore. Looks very clean and sexy the way she stand right now. IMHO.
Now that I have the emblems in great shape, and don't want to waste them, maybe ..... I'll put them inside the door jam? I'm going to wait and see which way the wind blows.
Thank you, MyNeonSaysHi, bombtrack07 and Danteneon for your comments

No they are not PT Cruiser rims, they are DeCorsa - Stellar - Chrome - 17x7.5 offset 35. Which I absolutely love.w0158981 wrote:are those pt cruiser turbo rims?
No real problems stripping the moldings or emblems. I worked slowly and methodically, and everything work out great in the end. I was concerned in the beginning of the process, only for the fact that the paint is 8 years old. I had NO, I repeat NO issues with the paint at all.Nutmeg wrote:No problems with the moldings?
Again, Thank you all for the comments!

So you had no issues with paint fade..hmm, I wonder if its because its white....I have a silver 2000 and have been afriad to pull them off only to see major paint fade or something. I guess it must depend on color cuz I've hear of some people that have had bad luck with the moldings.
Lookin good tho!
