Don't want her to have a nicer neon than me. Although my neon is nowhere near nice right now.

She's not too big on neons. She likes the way they drive but she's looking for a convertible. if i win the lottery i might wanna pick myself up an srt4. Saw one online a few towns over from where i am. damn it was beautiful

1999-2000 right before i got my neon, the damn thing was a piece of crap the motor mounts went up and the interior started falling apart, the check engine light stayed on and all i had was a muffler added and to top it off the car was brand new with only 100 miles on it when i bought it and i only had it for 6 months. :cussing:

My insurance right now is close to 200 and with this car added it will kill my pockets even more. She's also interested in a celica. She was looking at a few hondas but i told her i wouldn't buy one

The one she was looking at was a beater. with even more miles. I told her we'd keep looking maybe find a better one. The other one was like 13k and i don't have that much. I'm looking in the 9k and below range

Wait you are 19 and buying your girlfriend a car? I don't know your situation, but most guys at 19 won't have a the same girl in 2 years. Good luck! I wish I had your kind of money, I can't even afford a ring for my girlfriend!

me and my fiance have been together for 3 years now. I don't see how we'd have a problem in the future. I own a house and we have a baby on the way. I'm starting HVAC work in the fall with her uncle making 16.50 an hour 40 hours a week. The pay will only go up from there. We are looking like we will have a pretty good life. We've been threw shit and back but we're still going strong.

Although I was 20 when I fell in love, (at first sight) Mandy was 1 week shy of 18 when we met. Long story short, I proposed at 3 months and we were married at 9 months. Here we are next week we will have been married for 24 years and going strong. It does happen. :D

As for the car, I would have to say wait and do some more research. I also believe that a 2002 with 122k doesn't sound all that great. Hell, I only have 60k (reached that this Thursday) and my Neon is a 2000. I'm sure a better deal will present itself.

That's because you are a freak  I have just shy of 112K on my '02. It's been great to me...but then again your girlfriend doesn't want a Neon :(

[offtopic] Gratz David!!![/offtopic]
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

We found a car. It's a 94 olds achieva she fell in love with it. It has a rebuilt engine and the engine has about 50k on it. It is fully dynamatted. it also has new brakes and rotors, nice rims, a cai and a nice pioneer system. It also has a custom paint job. Let's just say with my stock neon i'm a little jealous haha.

i will never ever buy a modded car. Generally you know it's been beaten to piss.

unless i personally knew someone who owned it and how they took care of it.

It's a sparkle blue. It's actually pretty nice. and the car's a coupe not a sedan. It's actually not that bad. I like it. And it's better that we don't have car payments right now too.
