WOW!!!!!! Local Dodge dealer has one in so I took it for a little test drive. It's pretty much stock but danged if it didn't feel like a rocket. Hit 90mph getting onto the freeway in the middle of 3rd gear, my SXT takes the top of 4th to get 90. I wasn't used to the lower rev. limiter and bounced it off of it once but driving that car really seals the deal. The SRT-4 is my dream car, that's for sure.

They want $17k for it, I think that's a bit high. I'd probably go $15K if they'd do a bit of work on it(it pulls to the right a bit and the engine looks like it needs a good detailing) and if I could get $2K out of our mini van in trade. Then my wife could drive my SXT and I'd have the SRT.
I can't even think about how fast an SRT would be with a Stage III kit installed. I don't think I've ever drove anything as fast except for maybe my Honda 750 Magna, it was a faily quick bike but then I was only 175lbs at the time too,LOL. Now that I've plumped up to 280lbs I'm sure it'd be a little slower.

2005, Black, no real mods but did have Falkan 205/50/17's on it. IIRC the Magna would go 12.30's in the 1/4 so , yes, with a Stage III the SRT would be faster. I wish I could hit the lotto, I'd buy that car in a heart beat. I want an SRT now more then ever.
I'm going to put a UDP pulley and a header with cat delete on my SXT and be done with it, no engine mods that I could do would ever make it as quick as an SRT and there's no point in spending money to try. I'm still going to get new struts and add the SRT springs that I've got, plus add a rear sway bar and get some good 205/50/15's on it but for speed mods I think it's pretty much a waste of cold hard cash. If a stock SRT-4 will be as quick as it is and if I want something that quick then nothing else will do.

The clutch felt totally different in this car then in my SXT. A lot stiffer, which makes sense snice you're dealing with 230 HP instead my poltry little 110hp with the few mods I've done. I'm sure I could get use to it though. LOL. I'd gladly sell my left nut for that car, anyone need a left nut?asanti wrote:Damn, I SOO need to learn to drive stick!!!

Someone say Stage 3? Mine went 11.989 @114.66 in the quarter
Stock SRTs aren't all that mind blowing any more, An S3R SRT is alot of fun though. Daily drove mine
But..
I drive an MS3 now, and I couldn't be happier..
unless I had a Lotus Elise..
or a TVR Sagaris
Yea.. I could go on.

K, dude, you're @ 90mph at the top of 4th in your SXT? Is yours an auto? If not, WTF is wrong with your Neon? I can take mine to pretty close to 90mph (88-89mph) in third and 120+ in fourth. It takes a while to get there but it'll do it. And mine's only an SE MTX.

They're having a HUGE Bounty Race tomorrow night(Saturday, May 31st) with a $5k bounty on Tim Lynch's head. If the weather holds out it'll be one heck of a great time.JKD wrote:Hey Frank, glad you like the SRT-4! We got a modded one in the driveway that you need to take a ride in!

Nothing wrong with my little SXT. IIRC I can get to about 100mph in 4th give or take a few mph. Of course the speed limiter will always hold me back to 118 mph no matter what.

I'm sorry but an SRT is not dream car worthy. Atleast that is what I believe.

Strange. My R/T goes 33, 58, 80, 110, 129.
But I don't know anything about cars.

With gas prices going up like they are an SRT-4 is still something you can go fast in AND get somekind of mileage out of. I like em' and I want one someday.

I'll be straight up, if I could have afforded it I would have bought a new SRT instead of my SXT.
But having a girlfriend to spend money on took up all that money. And having someone to be with>having an SRT
