CLK Tails? Yes/No

I swore I would never buy aftermarket tails for this car, or any car for that matter. But after seeing these tails in person on Slaw's car, I fell in love with them. Everyone kept saying the car is looking like a 'luxury' car, v.i.p., etc.

And I need something in the back to change it up and make look like "not a neon" since I had a bunch of VW guys stumped on what kinda car it was from the front.

I think they look awesome on red. Given it's flame red.. but still.

I like it and at the same time I want to leave the stock tails. If I got these I would probably smoke them like I am/was planning with the stock ones.

yes, get those. stop thinking about it, and get them with a nice light smoke over top. that right there would make the exterior damn well perfect

I have them. And have had them for over a year. I LOVE them. Such great lookin tails and I don't see them much on neons. For sure get them

Luckily enough, they have versions that already come with a slight smoke..

So uh, I think I'll be getting them.

Probably mid August or something.

I say do it, but get the regular CLK's, and then tint just the red portion of the tail lights. A nice light tint to take away the bright red, and chrome reverse area will give it a nice offset...

Spraying on a light coat of translucent black paint, or applying a clear layer of vinyl that is blackened (aka smoked) on the tail light...

lol im glad u liked mine so much u want ur own but i deff think u should tint the red part and keep the chrome as is and not buy the pre tinted ones

Those tails still look like Neon tails. If you want to make it look totally different go with a set of Mopar 3D tails. They're completely different then Neon style tails and give the car a real up-dated look.

I just put a new set of Mopar 3Ds on my silver SXT and I love the look! they go great with my silver/flat black them I'm going for.

I say keep em stock, or get tinted. I absolutely love your car the way it is now though!
