Naval Air Station North Island

I took these just a few days ago on my vacation to San Diego. I'm in the Air Force so was able to stay on Naval Air Station North Island. The Seahawk pilot saw me trying to include his helicopter while taking pictures as he was taking off and decided to hover for me! I had enough time to turn the car around and got a rear shot too! Probably the best shots I will ever take again of my neon. Period. I couldn't believe it. Let me know what you think!!! Hood and eyelids were just installed before my trip. I submitted these for next years calender too.

very nice pics bro. i think the one complaint i have about your car is the tails, i just cant appreciate them.... otherwise, i love it. the CF looks AMAZING on that color

First picture is probably the coolest non photoshopped/professional car picture I've ever seen. Love the helicopter in the background and that lighting makes the CF look amazing. Good job.

Damn that looks awesome! However, I would say get the tails painted, they look 1000000% better! (even if the paint is done by a drunken idiot in his garage like mine)

My little brother was stationed in those hangers behind your car for a few years. LOL He wrenched on those birds for the Navy.

Sweet

It was weird for me, it was the first time I was ever on a Navy base. Everything was upside down for me as an Airman. I pulled up to the gate guard one of the nights and the guard asked me what rank "AMN" stood for...AIRMAN I told him confused! lol I guess there aren't many air force guys that pass through there.

All nice people though.

Those are some nice pics!

There is a Air Guard near where I live and my wife used to work at the local airport restaureant. One day last summer, an Apache landed. It was so awesome, cause I hadn't see one since I got out of the Army in 97.

Too bad that I didn't have my 02 SXT, cause some pics with the car and that Apahce would've been sick!
