yeah, but with a 35% tint on just the rears, I don't I'll get nailed. That's not that noticeable. My brother bought his neon with the rear windows tinted and hasn't been nailed yet, so I should be ok. I dunno

You can see through 35% during the day and with lights at night as well. You should be okay with it, especially if you keep the interior tan.

Yeah, that's what I thought. 35% is the lightest I could do I think that is still somewhat tinted, yet light enough to see through. And also, I have a Dark Slate Gray interior hun. :thefinger: lol

But your pillars should be tan as should your headliner (from the factory). Thats what I meant. The lightness up top will make the tint appear a bit lighter than it really is working in your favor.

Well I got a trunk lid carpet here, installed it yesterday and got an injector cover that I'm waiting to redo the red lettering on before I put it on. Also, I bought a set of Mopar Performance 2gn lowering springs from someone which should be here tomorrow! Those will probably wait until spring to go on when the silverstones get powder coated and go on with some new rubber and Tokico blues. This car is finally getting to be what I want from it.

I also met up with Matt (Nitehawk) Saturday, and he buffed out my srt spoiler to remove the marks i left in it from sanding the overspray off, and he got a few other scratches out that were in the car when I bought it. He took some pics too, so I'm sure they'll show up soon.

Well, my Mopar Performance 2gn lowering springs came in today!

These can't have many miles on them, they look pretty mint!

That picture concerns me a bit. From that tag on the spring that reads "STD" makes me think that those are OE springs. Is there a number on the tag as well?

CrystalMarie - Thanks! I'll have to get more pics when I go home, but Matt has a whole bunch he took on his new DSLR. We were supposed to have a shoot but I didn't get in touch with him, Sunday, so maybe this weekend.

John - Hmm.... now that you mention it, let me look.... I'm concerned now.

Ok, I feel relieved now. I looked and they have numbers on them and seem to match what I found here:
http://chetcpo.tripod.com/miscstuff/id2.html

Did I get screwed?? They came from someone that bought them from lethalp1mp, and I dealt with him before and he was very honest and meticulous, and this guy seemed to be as well. Hopefully these are correct. They were sent in these MP boxes too:

both say the same number

EDIT:

Well Crystal, here are the crappy pics I took while I was with Matt:

I tried to sneak one of him while I was following him but the flash was on, and I didn't realize it and he saw the flash in his mirror.... then got one of me in his mirror at the next stop sign... haha fail.

Matt's LED light bars across his windshield:

Just a few crappy pix I took of my car pulling into his garage. Matt got MUCH better ones.

LOL! yeah, I'm not sure. I haven't spoken to him since Sat.

So here's the current list of things I wanna do, probably in the spring:

-get the Silverstones PC'ed and installed
-install the MP lowering springs/Tokico HPs (most likely)
-install Prothane master bushing kit
-paint chrome grille bezels PS2 to match
-paint AEM PS2 to match
-hopefully get a Magnum VC, and PC it silver
-fix red lettering on injector cover, possibly in silver
-35% tint
-possibly paint outer portion of mirrors PS2 to match

It looks like the springs you have are...

In a old 1st gen MP box.

The #'s on the springs are for OE 1st gen ACR.

There has been talk that the 2nd gen lowering springs were really just 1st gen ACR springs anyway. I was trying to find BRR's post about his experience with these springs.

Is this the post you mean?

viewtopic.php?t=24622&highlight=acr+springs

It looks like he had the wrong springs at first, and then blew struts with 50k miles on them when he did the correct swap, so I dunno. Hopefully It will be ok. I don't want to have that happening.

well that's good to know!

That link I found where the guy installed them on his R/T seemed to be content with them, and it looked like a nice drop. So I'm hoping with new Tokico HPs and my Prothane kit installed it should be a pretty nice setup... I'm hoping anyway!

Well I decided to stop by a Dodge dealer I was passing today and get some PS2 spray cans to paint my grille trim, and AEM cai. Well, they don't stock the aerosol cans which I figured. I ordered 2 cans of PS2, and a can of clear top coat. Should be here tom, or Monday.

lol, maybe I'll have time to actually paint them. That would be nice. Also, I found out from lethalp1mp (original owner of the drop springs) that he only used them about a year, and only have about 1000 miles on them! The guy I bought them from said he never used them at all, so I guess that's why they look so nice still. Good deal.

Well, just as I promised CrystalMarie... I'm posting pix

but really, I did strip the chipped red paint off the injector cover and redo it with a metallic silver sharpie. It worked pretty well except I don't really like how the 2 and 0 came out, and I may redo them, but otherwise it looks great!

before & after pix

trunk dress up:

and the paint as I promised! That can of clear looks like it might be 100 yrs old though.

Image

The AEM intake will be on in the spring once it is color matched to my car

Also, I never got the pix from Matt, nor a photo shoot, but since you keep asking I took a few pix and I'm going to post them over in the Picture Post forum right now! :D
