Thanks! The handling was just amazing with those bushings installed. They were such a pain, but well worth it. There's no more wiggle or play in the steering now. Hopefully, I'll get that patched up soon lol.
Autocross on Sunday was an absolute blast! I'm uploading quite a few pictures right now. I so wish that I had gotten into this sooner. New LCAs + Hotchkis sways + BC coilovers = Nooo body roll at all. Oversteer was perfect on the street setting for the rear bar.
The race was run by my school's car club, so it wasn't SCCA sanctioned. We rented out a university of michigan Flint campus parking lot. There were a few poles, but the course was constructed around them well. There were about 9 turns, and a slalom going into a hairpin. The course had a few straightaways, so the bigger, rwd cars were able to pick up a little time there. It was .23mi long.
My times were 30.209, 30.106, 29.191, and 28.653. The timing equipment went down occasionally, so I had about 5 untimed runs in there. Super fun though. I did well I beat my friends turbo Fit. The only cars that were ahead of me that I heard of were a Rouche Stang and WRX in the 27s, and a RX8 at 28.4. Notable other cars were there: C4 vette, Cobalt SSTC, Mazda3speed, OG mini, skyline swapped rx7, turbo dsm, a 02+ turbo integra, and a stang GT.
These pics aren't chronological. I tried to order them along the course.
Some of the first cars
A few pics from when I was working cones.
Then my GF took some pics of my running. Here's the starting line, through first turn.
Coming up to the second turn.
This looks like right before the slalom.
A shot at the finish
It must not have been too entertaining lol
