Update:
Got my unknown 3" 02 Housing sold. The MPx 3" Turbo back single exit and matching 02 housing should be here this week. Once I get that on I have my current Mopar/Borla Catback sold.
I am going to be keeping all the stock parts I take off the car, this of course creates a very annoying storage issue. I will have my Stock Catback, Downpipe, 02 Housing, Shifter, Gauge, RBK Radio, Injectors, PCM, Stock Lighter w/ Cubbie Hole and various other objects laying around all over the place .... need to get them in the Storage Unit. I am going to be looking for a Stock Airbox setup and wastegate soon just to have the stock parts, I want to be able to put the car 100% Stock if I ever decide to do so for whatever reason. I guess it allows me to part out all the aftermarket stuff if I ever sell the car.
Inevitably I have rolled over to 78k miles, sort of makes me sad in a way but its my daily driver and its under warranty for another 12k Miles or so, (91k Miles the warranty is up). I plan to order the Timing Belt Tensioner soon and get the timing belt stuff done soon. Car finally got the rear bumper painted and the mechanical inspection done. Good Stuff. I hated driving around that Yaris rental while it was in the shop.
I still plan to go with the E1 Ported Turbo and at the same time find a stock Exhaust manifold so I can Drill for a Pyrometer to monitor my EGT and a wideband at the same time to Monitor my A/F Ratio. I believe I will be looking for an 03 Fuel Rail for the Shrader Valve so I can also watch my Fuel Pressure, those are the Gauges I finally decided on for my 3 Pillar Pod openings, I also want to get an oil pressure Gauge to go next to the Boost Gauge. I think those are good options, I don't run a System so I don't need a Volt Gauge and the Stock water temperature gauge is fine.
Eventual plans after that are a Koyo Aluminum Radiator and a Big Front Mount and Aftermarket Crash Bar (After being in one Accident I don't want to ever not have one). Will probably do Strut Tower Bars and the Mopar Stage 1 Springs, some newer Struts, and a bushing kit. All that mess will keep me happy for a while and put me around the 320WHP Mark where I want to be and give me a little bit of Suspension Work to make the car a little more fun to drive.
Well I think thats all for now ... got bored and made a sig too

Okay. Exhaust and 02 Housing are on. Holy Christ what a fucking bitch. I had to dremel the bolt on the bracket going from the Exhaust Manifold to the block. I never ... ever .... want to do that again.
Pictures and Video will be posted tomorrow night. The gains are amazing and it was definitely worth it. The Single Exit is a good deal quieter than the Stock 02, Stock Downpipe, and Borla/Mopar combo was. I love it.
I am worn out after being under the car for 3 Days.

Update: 8/1/2009.
Well I know its been a while since i updated this log. I of course completed my exhaust earlier in July and have also been on a buying Spree. I have picked up:
1. Stock Intake Manifold w/Rail and Injectors
2. Exhaust Manifold with Turbo Clamp & Stock 02 Housing
3. Upper & Lower Thermostat Housing
4. Throttle Body w/ no Spacer
All for $100
The Throttle Body isn't going to work for my idea so i sold it. I don't need the Injectors so I sold those as well. Made back most of my cash. I am going to use the Exhaust Manifold as a core for a Ported Exhaust Manifold and the Intake is going to be either Powercoated or Ported as well or both. I also still have my core Stock Turbo to use as a core for an E-1.
And Something else was found. a Stock 2005 SRT4 Block for $50 w/out head $150 with head. All thats wrong is the #4 Rod is snapped due to Water Ingestion from a CAI. I am thinking of picking the block and head up and rebuilding to stock specs and tossing it in my SRT as I am at 79k. Not right away of course, but it would be nice to have a spare stock block waiting to go in.
Anyways I have Pictures!

Your going to hate me for saying this. I passed on a set of Mopar Stage 3r Coilovers (1 Blown but the other 3 are okay). I generally find a lot of deals but I don't always take them. I *HATE* angled exhaust. Looks stupid and ruins the paint on your bumper.LilSparkPlug wrote:You sir are a swine for finding all of these deals. Yes...yes you are. Its the Camshaft Position Sensor. Synchronizes the Computer with the valves to ensure that the Injectors fire at the right time. Shouldn't be bad to replace.

Ohhhh is that the one that sits on the right side of the valve cover? A local running the AGP CAI had his go bad because teh intake kept rubbing up against it.
Exhaust looks great. That MBX single outlet is a fine fine exhaust I love it and its great quality. Stainless steel rules.
I ran over 80k on my SRT.

Well thanks for the well wishes everyone. I went to Autozone this morning and picked up a replacement for $37 (After taxes). Had to do some shopping around though, my normal Autozone didn't have one and neither did any other places drove to the other store and they had it.
Took Literally 15 Minutes to do. That includes getting the tools ready, the Short Ram disconnected, and re-doing some of the vacuum lines that I didn't like. Wasn't bad at all. I am assuming that should resolve the issue. If it doesn't, could mean the timing belt is slipping or has slipped a tooth as that will also through this code.

Indeed. I have to get the Tensioner for the timing belt but I have that on hold at the moment as I prepare my finances for the new Engine I am picking up. Its only temporary as I just want to get the new motor inspected, honed and if necessary bore ... then I will take care of the timing stuff. Its a balancing act and I hope it doesn't blow up in my face.LilSparkPlug wrote:Well hopefully that's all Lacie needs....cause otherwise it's a long haul.
If the motor can be cleaned up at the stock bore I will rebuild it as a Stock SRT motor as thats a bit cheaper and just fine for my goals with the car, however, if it is going to require a Bore, I will be building with the MPx Rebuild kit with Eagle rods and will likely going with a Bigger turbo setup, such as the E2 which has a bigger wheel on the stock turbo (37lbs or so) or a Big Wheel Stage 3 and shoot for around 375 to the wheels as the eagle rods are good for around 430HP at the crank according to MPx.

Yeah I just couldn't pass up a complete SRT engine (Albeit its torn apart ... But complete from turbo to intake) for $100 or soLilSparkPlug wrote:I'm jealous I wish I could pick up a spare block and build it up. But...no extra funds at the moment. I went with the DCR tensioner and have no complaints about it thus far. Installing it was a piece of cake and if it makes the difference they say it does, it was worth it to me.

Update: Mechanical Failure
Mechanical Failure, 12/6/2009
Wow its been a while huh? Well I have lots to write about but lets start at the beginning. I was going down the road after getting some dinner and my car didn't blow off when I let off the gas. Interesting ... so I floored it and watched the boost guage ... ahh theres the problem no boost. When I got to my destination I checked and heard metal on metal coming from the Compressor Housing/Exhaust Manifold. The turbo is shot. HEY no problem I'm covered by my good ol' fidelity warranty. The same one that covered my A/C Issues and some oil consumption issues. Yeah ...
So Monday, 1st day out of work. Took it to the now only dodge dealer close to me, Greenway Dodge. They took 5 hours to diagnose the turbo as "bad" and as well told me I need ball joints, suspension bushings, etc ... yeah tack on an extra $1000 on top of the $2000 turbo. Add to the pain. So they call Fildelity which states, Sure we can cover that let us get an inspector out. So the dealer puts me in a rental car and I have to come back at noon the next day as its a one day rental. With the day shot I went home in my POS Focus Rental.
Tuesday, Day 2 out of work. Went back to the dealer to the words of "All you had to do was call we could have extended your rental until the inspector got here. Would you like to go back to work and travel another hour out of your way" I said "No" as the day was shot. So I sit for another 4 hours and watch the inspector come in. Declined. Due to Aftermarket Parts. Okay I can dig that but the Warranty Clause states "IF THE FAILURE OCCURS DUE TO AFTERMARKET PARTS THE REPAIR IS EXCLUDED" I asked them to prove to me the parts caused the issue ... they couldn't. They thought my Mopar BOV was water injection and that my AGP Wastegate was broken because a nut was welded. Fucking Morons. So now I call Fidelity who says that since the car was bought modified they shouldn't have sold the coverage and I need to go to the selling dealer.
So Now we are at Cory Fairbanks Mazda, I explain the situation. So far I have been nice to everyone. They take up an hour or so of my time and tell me I will get a call tomorrow as they can't get an exception from Fildelity they have to speak with the owner. At this point my Brother is taking over this but this is a misrable situation. Lacie needs a turbo x.x

Update: 12/23/2009: Turbo Replaced Under Warranty
Car Returned from the Mazda Dealer, 12/23/2009
Welp after the dealer I bought the car from, a mazda dealer fought with fidelity they got the turbo replaced under warranty. However, I am now on the stock wastegate with stage 2 .... yeah kinda sucks but now I need to figure out what wastegate to go with. I'm thinking either a Stage 2 Wastegate or an FM ... any recommendations out there?
