Thanks Dante! Now I need to get a hold of a FSM so I can make sure I get these things all back together properly. After a month, I'm starting to become fuzzy on some of the details. Hrmmm

Yeah, about 3 weeks. :? I had never gone there before but they said they were very busy, and they clearly were. I just wish they would've given me a heads up first...

^ Yeah, but they are also doing a base, then candy on the VC so they are gonna charge a little more. Is that a good price? I have no fucking clue, but you live and learn I guess :?

Ahhh, so that was you! I was trying to remember who on here was doing PC work. Matt (Nitehawk) wanted to know and I couldn't think of who it was. I'm gonna need to find a cheap set of front calipers to PC'd. If your dad would be able to match the red I'll send them out to him

$110 for blasting and PC. I'm sure everyone is gonna say I got ripped off right? I didn't have any other options really locally.

Not really I paid $40 each for my front and rear STBS, you didn't pay too much more. That included blasting. It's the people that charge $80+ for valve covers that are screwing people over.

Yeah, that's insane Crystal. Dan dropped some parts off and they told him $50/strut bar and $55 for a candy valve cover. $155 did seem too unreasonable to me.

I had mine done at Electro-Kote here in Pittsburgh

http://www.electro-kote.com/

They even have a Neon VC picture on their page haha

Although, there is another place where Matt got his brake stuff done last year, Durable Powder Coaters

http://www.durablepowdercoaters.com/

I've never used them, so I can't speak to their prices.

Also, as Low N Slow mentioned, his dad will do it to if you ship it to him.

I've been slowly plugging away at my molded AVS trunk lid. I have an itchy face and arms to prove it. While I was sanding yesterday, a gust of wind blew dust all over me FML... Well I got the thing pretty smooth so I decided it was time to throw some mud on the the thing. I got it covered pretty well I think. There will be some areas that need some spot putty but I had to work fast, rain was coming. Moar sanding ahead. sigh.

I HOPE to have it ready for paint by sometime next week. I know that's an ambitious goal but I have off work so it may happen weather and time permitting.

Less than 1/8" thick. The pictures are deceiving. I'm trying to keep it minimal to prevent problems from arising

If you have access to a DA, I'd use that before doing the final sand by hand. It would make it much easier.

Trunk is looking pretty good so far, Ryan. I also thought there was a thick layer of mud on top too!

Can't wait to see this done.

dtjackten - lol tell me about it! That lower portion of the lip is gonna suck to try to make both side symmetrical!

Chris - Yeah, I have a DA but I've been using an air board since it will give you a much smoother surface since it's a long board and will eliminate a lot of waves.

Tam - yeah, I guess the pictures are deceiving because it's not thick at all. Maybe you guys are seeing the thickness of the actual fiberglass spoiler itself? It isn't super thin.

Well, as the title suggests the rear discs are on! I went down to Dan's today and we did the swap along with a few other things. I like them so far, and if nothing else it looks a shit ton better than drums. When I went to leave his house I realized the brake light is on. I think it's because when I bled them I let a fair amount of fluid out trying to make sure there were no air bubbles left. I'll check the fluid level tomorrow, then the ebrake switch if fluid doesn't fix it. Oh, and the pics will be up tomorrow
