Ziptie's come in handy when a prostitute gets mouthy or reluctant

I like people who BUY a 10 sec car and then brag about it. Thats like hiring someone to bang your wife and then bragging about the kid

hmm... ok, I'll bite. but just a teaser...
6 hrs worth of driving, some bad luck, and most of my money later I now have this and another member is now missing a few SRT bumpers and has my rear bumper and lip ....
Yes, I need to take it back off because the foam crash bar cover wouldn't fit right, I broke 2 of the 6 studs off the car to mount it, and the brackets that go along the edge of the bumper need to be riveted on this bumper. Other than that, I now have what I've wanted for a long time. I'll fix that crap later. I was working with what I had in a motel parking lot 3 hrs away from home.

Nice mod! I almost took a picture of mine....I'll help you visualize:
A fart can angled out the left exhaust cutout for an SRT bumper, smashed against a lip with flat black center, curved inwards, and burning through since the cutout doesn't match. Opposite cutout is wide open. Silvers are dead on, and, sorry to say...you're black middle will be gone by Monday I'll post a before pic tomorrow.
Sorry about the bad luck. It was shitty for sure, but we both did what we needed, regardless of what janitors were smoking out of a deserted room window
Glad you like it man. Sorry about the tiny shit wrong with the bumper. It's had a harsh.....~4 months. Looks dope though, and honestly guys the exhaust doesn't look that bad on there.
Good meetin' ya bro. Save some $$ for a bit now haha.

haha thanks man. yeah it's all good, there's nothing wrong with the exhaust fitment, it's just too narrow. In due time it'll be replaced. In the meantime, I have $5. It'll do. As for the brackets, I don't know. They're not on it now and they don't look like they were ripped off. I kept mine, so it won't be a prob. Fixing the broken studs on the car for the bumper might suck though.
Tam... I hate you. I wanted that hood. your car isn't even silver

Dude. I'm missing the studs on mine that you put on from the trunk...At least you aren't fishing you're own nuts and bolts through there like me. Vice clamps = the 2nd pair of hands.
It looks good though. I'm really diggin' the '03 / lip rear. I even like the flat black...but I can't afford a new exhaust set-up, so off it goes. I wont post pics.

Yeah, it's the Thermal R&D R/T setup. I'll have to change the whole axle back unless I could get the Thermal widened, which I don't really see happening. Oh well, when I have money I'll probably do a different exhaust setup, probably camaro setup, sell the Thermal and unroll the bumper. In the meantime it's cold and I'm broke so it'll stay. If I get a chance I'll take it back off and fix the stuff I half assed putting it on.sigh... I loved how it was painted too, but I hated the bumper boobs. I noticed you had the center portion masked off on yours.

Cuz he's been dying for an SRT bumper. It really is the nicest bumper for the neon in my opinion. Really make the back end look aggressive.
It's tough to let anything go if you put some time and effort into it. I just paid off the paint on my stuff, then sold like 3 pieces of the car. The car really does look great. Only reason he is at all bothered is by the bullshit we encountered throughout the 7 hour transaction.

this. no, not "whining" just exactly like he said, time and effort went into it and it is hard to let it go. It was one of the first mods I did to my car. Hell, In fact I had that lip kit before I even owned a neon. Don't confuse temporary sadness with complaining. Change is often hard, yet necessary. I've wanted this damn bumper since I got my car and I'm stoked I have it, I just need some time to adjust. (**really not as gay and dramatic as this sounds... just explaining what I mean.)FAC3L3SS wrote:Cuz he's been dying for an SRT bumper. It really is the nicest bumper for the neon in my opinion. Crystal, It was just 'one of those days'. I had all the tools I could POSSIBLY need and more ready to take with me... last week. A few things were my dads so I took that out of my car and put them back in the garage when it was decided we couldn't meet up last weekend. Well, I thought I had just taken a few things out... I took it all out and left it at home. I realized this before I left and all I had with me at school was a 101 piece Craftsman socket wrench set, and some screwdrivers (luckily with the torx I needed). No PB Blaster (which lead to me busting two studs off), no deep well 10mm socket.... (Adam saved me on this one), no zip ties to roll the bumper so it'd fit (Adam saved me again) no fork tool to remove xmas tree fasteners (screwdriver and brute force won here). It just wasn't a fun time doing this in a motel parking lot 3 hrs from home, in the cold windy weather. Adam and his girlfriend (Sorry, I forget your name and I'm sorry I am responsible for his car being ugly now) were awesome though, and we got it all done. All in all, Murphy's Law will always prevail, but in the end we both got what we came for and the rest of the bullshit doesn't matter.
The End.

LOL she doesn't give two shits about the rear bumper. It's the SRT front she didn't want to see go. My car isn't "pretty" anymore. Although I have no front bumper, so I can't entirely disagree.
Yeah, Ryan had the tools he needed....about 7 days ago. When I had gotten there, he already held two busted studs in his hand. He was fairly discouraged by the time I arrived. We got it all going, I had some neon zipties handy for Ryan's neon, and a deep 10mm socket cuz....well...it's necessary. Windy, cold, missing tools and busted parts...made for a long hour of swapping bumpers in a busted hotel lot with grubby workers sneaking in and out of windows
Anyway, all went well. Chels and I enjoyed meeting you, and after meeting and talking with ya, it was HER idea to make it official and attend Carlisle next summer. Great meeting you dude. I've not met anyone who is such a stickler about their car. True enthusiast.

I try to take great pride in everything I do, and my car is a perfect example of that. When something is not perfect, or is slightly off I'm not happy. I'm a perfectionist. It's a curse sometimes. That's awesome that you two will be coming to Carlisle! You'll have a good timeFAC3L3SS wrote: Anyway, all went well.
