Music Genre for Car Videos

Post by paranoir » Mon Nov 02, 2009 4:22 pm

What type of music do you prefer in a car video? What type makes you want to rip your ears off and stomp on them? I am asking because I am so bored lately I want to make a nice long SRT-4 / Neon compilation, not sure on what music to use because I like everything.

Personally on some parts I'd rather none. I watch videos all the time with good music, but then I can't hear the dam car at all.

I'd say any song that acutally FLOWS with the video. I hate it when people just stick in any random song and they just match the scene changes and titles to the beat.

I'd say if you have screamo, crazy music in your video, that you probably shouldn't have you car in a field of daisies - Which I have seen.

That's a product of shitty editing. I love having music in videos, but when I make them, I lower the volume of the music when there's a part in the video with good engine sounds, etc.

My vote was for rock.

:withstupid: Puccini FTW.

...but that's if you want to be different. E40's Tell Me When to Go is always popular

The genre should depend on the footage.

If you edit the video right, you can get away with just about all genres. I've seen drift videos with girly music that seemed to work quite well.

Rock FTW!

But it also depends on the car as well.. and whats happening in the video as well.
