question about afx
If a afx has been programed to a skim, can it be reprogramed to another skim?

An AF/X is just a reprogrammed PCM, so it should be able to have a different SKIM entered, just like any other PCM.
I thought I read the R/T's weren't able to be programmed for AF/X, but I might be wrong. I don't know why they couldn't be tweaked a little more. I just remember something to that effect.

randomzero, your buying laverty's afx arent you lol? yeah i even explained to him in his listing that the afx is not mag specific and wont control the butterfly's, i didnt want him confusing other ppl. Should work just fine for you man just get the security stuff programed to your car.

why dont you ask the previous owner from laverty, the afx came with the car when he got it and he didnt want to use it so he left the stock pcm on his car and is selling the afx

You can reprogram the vin as you need. If you get laverty's pcm, and flash it at a local dealer, you'll be fine.
I recommend an AFX. An ecu is the best mod for our cars.

Even though Dan called me, and we had sexy time, I'm going to leave this here for reference:
They're very similar. Both have the higher rev limiter, both don't show some CEL's. The Race version has a little difference in timing (advanced), and will run slightly richer up top. Either will work fine on a stock/modified motor.

The AF/X is one of the best pcm's out there for N/A use. I've had my hands on several units and former units are floating around here on 2GN. Also note, if you want to use your magnum intake manifold you will have to use an rpm window switch to activate the mtv as no AF/X was ever programmed for use with the magnum intake manifold.
Power wise, once the AF/X relearns your engine configuration, aproximately 500miles of driving without resetting the unit, it puts out about the same power as MS in N/A form.
