she traded in her lil 2004 Neon ES... which actually had parts from my old 2gn in it :( She got 2k for it from Carmax... and I was surprised at that! She walked away with a 2007 Caliber R/T for about 12k.
I am jealous of her sound system... and that shes rated to tow things. lol
Image
Image
I paid twice for my car what she did and shes got like.. 3 times as many speakers!
:banghead:

Image
she said she wants to come.. and I think she joined up on here (gotta ask). She MIGHT need a room to crash in though...
So... if anyone has an extra bed... non-smoking... let me know!!

Ok I know its been a while since ive posted but I have to ask. Ive been trying really hard to get this thing done but it just wont be complete ready by Carlisle.

Has anyone gone and just brought their car in not to be judged?? I only ask cause me and the wife really wanted to go but dont want to be the laughing stock of the event. LOL. Not sure if there were any "work in progress" cars there.

I should have the majority of the outside at least in primer even if its multicolored. I should have the engine bay parts done. Anyway if anyone wants to see how shes lookin check out my progress log.

Just come and hang out with us. I wouldn't worry about the judging. We know your circumstances. If anyone outside of 2GN comments on your ride, just say =; .

I really want to go believe me. Time has been put aside at work for this. LOL. I just wanted to be much further along than I am. I can say that at least the engine bay will look nice LOL

We may just make a weekend out of it instead of 4 days like we planned.

They judge??

I never cared about being judged by Carlisle.. Last year I parked my non-neon car with the neons..

Just go and have a great time, that is what this is all about!

I'm sure you wont be the only "work in progress" car there

I'm bringing my car for transportation purposes only. My car is probably far worse off than yours because lately everyone on the road wants to hit it. So no worries :)

If you pay the $40 to register, they really can't keep you from being on the field. Unless there is an illegal substance in/covering your car. But that's a no brainer. (but then, if you have consumed enough illegal substances, your brain may not be functioning at optimum levels)

caraudio: Dont worry bout your car. Sure some people are there to be judged but really its for all of us 2gners to hang out. besides, we all roll in packs together to the event. Think it more as allow of us from here having a meet at the hotel and bringing all of our cars together to the show. We all park together and then do whatever. We get our own big tent as well since we have so many people :) ..... plus Canada is awesome and brings his grill =)

The judging is participant based so it doesn't really mean much anyways.

You put your car in the field and if people vote for it then they vote for it.

LOL ok sweet that helps out a lot. I would have loved to be judged but not this year. Definitely next year though.

Anyway thats awesome news. I should be registering in the next couple of days. Then i have to see who from the area is caravaning down so I can get hotel accommodations settled.

I've never gone for judging at all. Hell, I've parked my Daytona with the Neons in the past (which automatically disqualifies me for anything). I only register for the show field because it's better parking and you're always together with everybody.

As far as caravans from this area, Mat00ES and me caravan'd down last year. How close are you to I-95?

You are kind of SOL with the good hotel deal. However there is a Rodeway Inn and a Comfort Inn right next door, actually on the same patch of land.

I'm going to make a thread in a minute for people that didn't get in on the Harrisburg West deal.
