Yeah, I hear ya. I think the original one I had ordered was for a 1gn. After I took that pic, the PS cable came out another in, and looks good. The bracket takes up the difference between them pretty well.

That motor is clean as Fuck. Well depending on the weather this week, I'll try and install megasquirt! Suppose to rain today, so I'll do a final check over on it. I want to get it tuned all nice for the MPx meet!

Maybe in the next couple weeks I'll pick up my clutch/flywheel/LSD. That the last thing to do before the turbo build.

Dun Dun Dun...

lol. I haven't wired anything yet. I still need to grab some fuse holders and a few random wiring things and I'll be good to go. I picked up some new injector connectors clips of eBay to use too.

Here are a few pics of the completed unit. I had a isolation issue withe the second BIP373 and TIP120. They were originally mounted on the top case. I took them off and put them in place of the injector overcurrent resistors on the heatsink. I also added a second relay output (2 relay outs and launch control now).

Nice! My Caliber may not have any mods, but I'm planning on being at the MPx meet too. Can't wait to see what everyone has done.

Threw in some new spark plugs and tightened the alternator belt today. After I test drove it, I started on the MS harness. Got the in cabin wiring done (02 and launch). I started drilling the firewall to run the cable through and my drill died...both batteries...oh well, its dark now anyway. Time to go out.

Should have everything wired up this weekend :-)

Cool! Good luck with it all.

I'll be happy if I can just get my struts and springs bought and installed by the time the MPx meet comes around.

Haha, I wish I could go work in the dark. I'm doing the whole shade tree mechanic thing right now though. Thanks for the support!

Finished drilling the firewall, and installed a grommet. Ran the harness up through the engine. Cleaned the engine a little so that I won't look like Pigpen after wiring.

Now its off to the "Keep Austin Wierd" Festival. This'll give me some time to finish thinking about a few wiring locations. Tomorrow is the big soldering/wire run day!

Well I worked for about 4hr on it today. Its like 99F out right now...crazy. I had to come inside and cool off, I think I had heat exhaustion.

Got a good amount done. I always seem to get sidetracked working on my car. I ended up removing some old wiring first. I took out my amplifier and all the wiring for it. I also removed my mag intake control stuff. MS will be controlling it, so there will be no need to have it anymore. Look in the FS section if you're interested.

I drilled a hole and made a ground stud. Connected all the harness ground wires too it. Next I tackled the fuse box. I didn't want to unscrew that bolt that attaches it to the inner fender, so I cut that part off. Soldered in the main power wire and wahla! I was able to connect once she powered up. I bought a small fuse block to use for the install, so that'll go in next. Hopefully tonight I'll get some more done when it cools down.

Lastly, I can't find a freakin 1/4" plastic barbed tee anywhere....looks like I'll have to order one online.

Drive down here and I'll help ya! If you don't sell it first :-)

So the rain finally stopped. Shoulda had this done during the week, but Hurricane Alex was whipping up a lot of rain. Got the injectors wired up this morning. The fuse distribution box is in. I plan on ripping out as much stock wiring as I can. Pulled out the leftover AC wiring today. I have tomorrow until 3pm to do work, and Monday I have paid off, so I expect to be finished then. If my 1/8" barbed tee and vacuum line come in from McMaster, I should be starting her up on Monday.....can't wait!!!

Oh, I did PM Erick on the turbo kit. I'm going to get some things from him, and do some custom stuff for the rest of the kit. Found a super cheap SOHC log manifold I'm going to port out for the mag exhaust ports. Should be here next week. I'm thinking Bullseye s256 for a turbo right now.

Almost done! Just have the crank sensor and relays to wire up tomorrow. Then I'll tidy up the wiring, and wait for the vacuum tee to get here. I don't see the right color wire coming up the middle of the intake for the cps ... I'll have to check again.

Some pics to show that I've actually been doing something.

Hasn't really been hard so far. Just a lot of research and time (especially since I built mine). I plan on putting together a tutorial/walk-through eventually though.

^ Chad that would a be a great walkthrough for the community, I know you'd rock it too.

I can't wait until its all installed, I'd like to mess around with the datalogging.

When you do the clutch let me know. You can come up here and we can use the shop airtools and lift will make it super easy, trust me. Plus I've done 3 clutches already so it will go fast.

Let me know when you want to do pics, Seb has some nice spots and all 3 of us can do a shoot.

Luis, that sounds great man. Some lady let me know today that we "aren't suppose to be fixing cars in the parking lot". lol. I'm thinking bout grabbing an OBX LSD to rebuild and throw in too.

In other news, the wiring is done! Here are some pics from today:

This is pretty much all of the exposed wiring. Everything else I've hidden/made look oem.

Cleaned her up a bit today too.

Finished pics

I'd like to clean it up around the relays a little more. Oh, that reminds me I need to bolt the PDC down lol. The fuse holder thing worked out pretty well. I have it all switched of the ASD relay.
Image

Just waiting on my 1/8" barbed tee and line to come in so I can hook up the MS map sensor and try starting her up. All of the sensors looked to be reading well in Tuner Studio though! Well I need to upgrade past 3.03 so I can calibrate the temp sensors.

Thanks. Haha, you wish, I could have done it a lot quicker, but I decided to take my time and route the wires all nice like, lol.

Well, I was able to calibrate the temp sensors, run the vacuum line, and start it up! For all of 10 seconds. I need to get some better tables to start with, and work on the After start enrichment. It sucks because I don't want to make a shit ton of noise cranking it in my apartment complex.

Ah, ha. My idle valve is doing something weird. I don't think I have the PWM idle settings correct. It When I give it 4% throttle its fine. Maybe I'll just change my adjustment screw for now.
