Thanks....they previous owner painted only that 1 rim pink. I have no idea why, I know that hes into that type of drift styling since he has a 240sx that he drifts.

But that rim has now been stripped down, but i still need to do some final touches to make it repaintable.

when i have some motivation i might tackle the rest of the rims since they are badly curbed.

yeah thats why im keeping them unless.
JeffM wrote:Nom nom nom. I love coupe 3 series'. Why are you converting the top to a manual?
well my convertible motor doesnt work, and it would be less of a hassle to convert it then to try to fix all the motors and microswitches.

i would keep them silver...but i dont want to try to match the one thats not painted to the others. so im just going to repaint them all.

also what do you guys think i should do about my hood...its oxidized, should i jsut leave it as is or paint it flat black or try to repaint it myself?

I'd just leave the hood alone and roll with it. If it bothers you that much, maybe just do the center section where it's oxidized and make it flow by painting the section where the grilles are so it's one solid stripe from the grilles to the windshield. I wouldn't paint the whole thing flat black, it'd look cheap.

My other suggestions would be peel off that rediculously faded tint, change the mirrors (I know they're stock, but they've always looked cheap/ugly/terribly fitting to me), and I agree the lips of the wheels should be something other than flat black. If you want them all to match, you could try to match the color of the car, or white would stand out and look pretty hot in my opinion.

I want to do the rest of the tints, since i already did the front ones. The mirrors and corners are going next, the mirrors are ebay ones, plus one shakes when im driving and they are horrible to see out of and im getting clear corners to replace the ones i got.

Rattle black the hood, and ditch the cheesy side clear corner lamps. They look terrible and are obviously fogging up on ya'. There are clear OEM lamps of you must have them clear. Personally, I think the orange side markers look classier.

Otherwise, looks good. I'm happy that you ditched all the M badges. Wheels will look killer in black.
