Posting some pics from the MPx meet up in the picture post forum in a few here. Had a great time! I was able to get the cruise tuned pretty well on the highway, still needs some work though.

Here's a few quick pics of my car from the meet.

Still a work in progress, but I'm starting to get some things zero'd in where I want them. I'm thinking on saturday I'm going to try and get O2 and IAC PID control nailed down and maybe Accel enrichment if I have enough time.

It's kind of addicting, this tuning thing.

Some days I make changes in the right direction, and other just waste time. I was originally running a lot more timing WOT, but I toned it down, and the upper end has greatly improved.

Changing those number is adicting addicting man.

Dude, I actually ran into the previous owner of your ACR that you rolled. He lives here in Austin and went to the MPx meet. We were talking there, and he brought up that he bought his old ACR from Grambo....then i connected the dots and let him know that was his car in the video...lol.

Well I think I've got the PID 02 and IAC working. Its not perfect, but she seems to be running okay. So without further ado, he's a 2-3 gear pull in its current tune.

Is that a 3.55 trans? I'm thinking yea. If so you need 3.94, but I think you are going boost so nvm lol.

Yeah its a 3.55. You don't realize how freaking long those gears are until you remove the rev limiter. I'm sure if I went with a 3.94 and a bigger cam, it would scream NA. Its perfect now for going turbo though. The off boost torque is going to be nice.

Luis - Yeah, its the EVO guy! Haha, I'll have to say that at 5k in the next vid when the butterflys kick on.

Glad you're having fun! Yea, I'm shifting at 8600 right now, likely up to about 9k when I get it all back together. That puts 2nd gear around 90mph. It's kinda funny to do full highway rolls in 2nd.

I was hopping to see the factory RPM gauge buried... :( 7500RPM is no joke though.

I've gone up past 7500 a few times now...its still a little untuned up there. I wish I would have removed the stock rev limiter sooner! Its so nice to shift and stay in the power band. When she's boosted, I'll probably do something similar Erik, but right now its feeling best to shift around 7.5k.

PWM IAC is getting close to perfect. I'm still getting some idle oscillation now and then though. Haven't made much of an effort at acell enrichment yet either.

LUIS!!!! - Have fun on your trip man. Take tons of pics.

You're actually using FIDLE? And it's not causing you nightmares with sync loss? That's great to know. I guess it's time for me to try again.

Yup! Had it working great using PWM warmup and the 3.03u code. Just had a few stalling issues now and then with heavy powersteering usage. That seems to have gone away now with closed loop's correction.

I haven't screwed with it since MS2's infancy, so I guess I've been shy of it for no good reason.

I might start looking into building units for people. I really need to take a look at component pricing first. I'll let you know when I do Sullivan. I'm running high compression, and e85. With MS, the motor runs so much better, its ridiculous. There is absolutely no bogging now, plus I'm getting much better mpg with e85 leaned out for cruising. Really though, I love electronics projects, so this was right up my alley.

03 thanks. I plan on it man! I have a base dyno from before I installed MS, and the canton oil pan. It'll be a pretty good comparison of the change! Plus, it'll be nice to compare after I go turbo :evil1:

Updates:
Took the car to the pay n spray today. Cleaned her up again. I also removed the rest of the backseat/seatbelts. I still haven't riveted down the fabric yet. This is because I ordered some 4ga wire to relocate my battery to the trunk. Once the wire is run, then I'll finish it up.
Pics of the trunk area. Pardon the 8Mpx cell phone pics...lol

Oh, also, on the way home I suddenly lost power steering. (I had to throw a belt on it to pass inspection). Well I pulled over and opened the hood. No PS belt at all. it must have flown off. I think my car was trying to tell me something. The alternator belt is looking pretty freakin shredded too. It seems like I can never install those right. Either too much tension and it shreds, or too little and it slips.

Good News everyone! My car is driving better than I ever imagined it could. I had my fuel tables tuned great. It was running so good, I doubted that accel enrichment could do anything more for it. My first attempt at accel enrichment pissed me off. It dumped way to much fuel and bogged. Basically, it is suppose to squirt in fuel right when you start accelerating so you don't lean out until your MAPdot readings fall down.

Well, I looked at my logs, and my idle pulse width is about 1ms...I lowered the pw graph substantially, and was able to get it tuned perfect. The car runs so freaking smooth its ridiculous...
Image

I've also made a list of the things I'll be doing the next few weeks. I think I'm almost done tweaking MS now. I just want to play with the WOT AFR and ign advance.

ToDo List
[..] Rivet in Fabric (bought supplies)
[..] Trunk battery relocation (wire came in)
[..] Remove Power steering
[..] Install new Alt belt
[..] Remove PS crap

MS stuff
[X] Swap Injectors
[x] Nail down new VE table (1/2 way there)
[x] Mess with startup/Idle (long process to get perfect)
[..] Play with Ign advance and AFR
[x] Dial in 02 and IAC PID control
[x] Accel enrichments.
[..] Launch control / Two Step. (need to connect wire)

Oh, and a little teaser pic.

So I was drilling holes in my "backseat" to rivet down some fabric, and I think I went into my gas tank.

Yup. Nice e85 vapors all over lol. I'm dumb. Oh well, I guess the fuel setup gets done next. I think I'm going to snag a fuel cell from summit and install it in place of my spare. They're cheaper than I was expecting. Probably going to install a 1:1 FPR, return line, and 2 inline walboros so I'll have plenty of fuel for the e85.

Good job on making a vent hole in the gas tank :-D I heard that they do it in the JDMs for an extra 50HP so that was a good mod!
