Yeah dude, and I'll tell you the same thing right now... You came in here and got all butthurt to begin with because I always call you out in the worthless threads you start about terrible fads...

Please believe if this was my silver car I would've don't it "right"... The way I see it, it's better now than it was before. When I got the car all I did was knock the rust smooth and spray it with RUSTOLEUM and it held up just fine until I just now decided to redo it. I never said anywhere I was a pro or was trying to do a great job. If you actually read I think you'd see I was trying to fix it the best I could with what I already had... I'm not going to sink money into the car to fix cosmetic damage when I'm going to be getting rid of the car anyway. That makes no sense when I will get $2000 for it tops. The rustoleum is working just fine to serve it's purpose: to help the rusty spot out.

I understand that, just don't want people reading this and doing it to they're cars cause they think its a good idea. I'm not butt-hurt here, just trying to avoid people taking short cuts and ending up with worse problems.

And there is a big difference between Rustoleum and Duplicolor, one is a oil based enamel, the other is a solvent based single part lacquer. The enamel will seal out the moisture better than the porous lacquer primers. Again just letting you know. I have spent many thousands of hours learning this stuff, with my friends who work in the industry, and through research and doing it myself, as a matter of fact I am doing my car as we speak. so I am not just trying to stir shit up.

I used Rustoleum. I've never had any issues with it in the past. Again, I never said this was a profesional fix. If people can read they would see that... The only way to get a good fix is either A) Be a professional in the field of autobody or B) Take it to someone that is... I wouldn't have spent $500 on getting my hood painted and trunk finished and painted if I was a pro. I took it to someone to do it right because I'm not equipped to do so myself.

Regardless... it's time to drop it Teej. This isn't even on topic anymore. Stop bringing it back up.

No huge updates to speak of other than I fucked my lower back up the other day. I woke up Friday and couldn't move. It seems to hurt worse now and I can't really walk, but ironically that pain feels better than the pain I'm in when I sit or try to stand up

Other than that, I managed to get in my car Friday and drive 2 hours to meet caustic neon out in Breezewood to trade front bumpers. So no more SRT bumper for me. Yay, you can all rejoice now... On the way home 15 miles into it there was a wreck on the Turnpike and we were stopped for an hour. That sucked, but I met some interesting travelers

His (caustic) son broke one of the headlights which I need so I ordered some new DEPO raccoon headlights for $67 shipped... and yeah, they've been on eBay since 01 and have good feedback so I think I'll actually get this set

And if you don't know what I got, I now have his PS2 R/T front bumper so you can all be butthurt  My car will look like 2k1motorsport status but I'm not getting rid of my 03 front. 02 will just go on for funsies. I don't have 02 fogs either.

No pics.

Oh... and the day after I fixed the clunk on the driver's side I now hear a noise coming from the other side. Can't win. Oh well, nothing seems to be falling of the car so fuck it.

not all 2000-02 Neons had foglights .... the rubber blanks look like brake cooling ducts and are cheaper than the lights

obviously... all R/Ts had fogs, unless it was an ACR. In which case it wasn't an R/t.

My 00 is fog equipped but they were taken out because they didn't work. It looks nasty.

Either way, they are different fogs than the '02 bumper requires. Same with fog deletes.

Don't get too excited, Lane. It's not permanent. I will still rock the 03 front+lip, I just like to switch it up so I traded the SRT front bumper for an R/T bumper.

I don't prefer it over the 03+lip combo, and I'm working on a set of 03 retrofit headlights anyway. It's just fun to swap front ends from time to time.

Looks great, Ryan. What are you going to do with the holes in the front? Are you required to have a license plate in the front?

Nope. Thats the shame about my SRT. Came from Maryland so it's got the holes in the front.

Nope, PA doesn't run front plates. Not sure what I'm gonna do with them yet. I think I'm gonna get fog delete plates because I don't wanna pay for fogs or change my wiring. I'll worry about that in the spring.
