CAI in the winter?
CAI in the winter?
So as you all know, winters slowly approaching. This is gonna be my first year with the car in snow, and I have a question. Is it safe to have the CAI installed in the winter, the one I have goes down into the fender so im sure its going to collect snow - after all I do live in Canada
Thanks in advance!

snow isnt the problem, its large puddles of water you have to watch for

or have a spare like spectra one or knock off one for the winter thats what i do so i dont ruin my k&n or aem dry flow although mine sits low as shit so ill throw the ram air back on at some point. it wont hurt anything to leave it onForest Green 2k wrote:Worst thing would be salt build up. It will be safe but I'd def replace the filter in spring.

I've driven though the nastiest rainstorms and slammed some huge puddles with my car and have had zero issues. I even have my fog delete cover removed for basically a ram-air setup. You can feel the filter putting your hand in there. Just don't drive into a lake and you'll be fine.
Now that I think about it, I should put it back on considering it's probably not doing anything except getting the filter dirty faster, lol. Ricer mod FTW.
