Installing Shorter Endlinks (Installed with NEW Pics)
hi guys
I received my shorter end links today in the mail from modern
I am going to installed these hopefully this weekend...whats the best way to install them...have the car jacked up on a hoist or leave the car on the ground? I'm curious on how tight the bolts need to be etc..etc...if anyone can help that would be much appreciated...
oh and as the links are shorter will the rear sway bar move nicely to fit in place?
thanx guys
Oh and this is my old set up currently...I think it kinda looks bad...Does my sway bar look bent?

Have you tried to install those yet? I am curious, as mine look like the sway holes will be too far forward as it swings closer to the strut mounting hole.

to answer your original questions.
you wanna have it in the air. best way to change them and easy way.
2nd just tighten them down to normal muscle tightning. lol.
3rd, yes they should go on fairly easy since they are shorter.
lets see pics when u install them.
just to make sure they look ok.

Generally speaking, pretty much any suspension component that has bushings and/or parts that deflect under load is supposed to be torqued with the weight of the car on the ground. However, seeing as how this is nearly impossible on some parts, especially on lowered cars, it's not something to lose sleep over.

So
So if we replace the back with shorter ones would it be wise to replace the front links? I'm assuming they stay the same size as the current front ones?

The front links, you pretty much are stuck with what you have. The only thing you can alter is the bushings. If you raised the car, you could lengthen them, but they are about as short as they can be now.
