Hi all. Happy New Year!
I apologize that I haven't been around. I got a text message from a moderator this week informing me that there were several people interested in these bushings.
To be honest with you all, I was going to discontinue these. I've been making these in my spare time at my workplace. In the past six months or so, business (at work) has grown at a breakneck pace. The production areas of the company, including the machine shop, are flat out. This presents two problems: a) I've been working tons of overtime, so spare time has been greatly reduced, and b) It's been nearly impossible for me to get access to a lathe since they're all in use, even outside regular time. These two things have all but eliminated the opportunity to make these bushing sets. The few sets that I've been able to squeak out in the past 6 months took way too long to get out (in my opinion), and that's not how I like to do business. So unfortunately, I will no longer be making these.
But there is hope! I've spoken to a fellow 2GNer about taking over for me, since apparently, there's still interest in these after this long! I feel really great about being able to contribute to the realm of Neon performance with such a simple product. There are over 90 Neon owners out there (all 2GN members) that have purchased and installed these, and I have yet to receive even one bit of negative feedback about them. For that, I thank you.
Here's what's going to happen. I'll be taking one last lump order, then I'll be handing over the duties to someone else.

Twelve usernames appear above. These are all people that have requested a set, either in this thread or via PM. If your name is on that list, please confirm to me via PM that you would like a set and I will make them. I will try to get every set of these out no later than Feb 1st. After some wheeling and dealing, a personal friend of mine is letting me use his lathe to make the last of these. In the next month, I'll be working out details on getting someone else to make them.
If your name isn't on the list and you would like a set, you will likely be getting them from whoever takes over for me. Details to come.
Once again, thank you 2GN for the support.

Believe it or not, it wasn't Chris. Actually, I don't think he's even got my phone number.
Maybe that's why he never called me after that one-night stand. I feel less used now.

Yeah, he doesn't have Jonny's number. So I sent some messages.
It's all good. The staff gets stuff done.

Are the ES ones plastic? Just curious as it looks like they are in the pictures.
What do you like better about Jon's vs the ES ones?

So they probably have some give, but not a lot compared to these having zero give.

The Energy Suspension ones are ok. Definitely an improvement over stock as far as taking movement out of the assembly. However, these aluminum ones practically make the shifter part of the floor so you can shift like an absolute animal.

Exactly what Jonny said. They do take up some of the slop but there was still slop there, although not much. They are polyurethane just like all their other bushings. I didn't expect a huge difference when I installed the JM solid ones, but there was an immense difference. Like he said it's almost as if the shifter is a solid fixture on the floor.jonnymopar wrote:The Energy Suspension ones are ok.
