Hello, finally found a decent Neon forum site. Thanks. Can always find plenty of Honda sites! LOL! (trust me I had a 3geez)
I purchased my Neon from Drivetime in AZ. Which got it from Enterprise Rental. From what I can gather on the VIN it's a base model. Unfortunately it has an auto trans. It runs good, but could use a rebuild.
Since it was a family car, the interior needs a JCWhitney makeover for the floorboards! Not to mention the back windows leak when it rains, even though the rubber is good and the windows are rolled up, might be a manf. defect of some kind.
I do plan on doing most of the mods to the engine first since it's due for the 90k tuneup(well past due) and some tires. Will post some pics once I can get it washed and prepped for some decent photos.
Looking forward to learning and doing some mods in the future.

Welcome to the site. I'm confused by the car you listed though. If it's an automatic then it isn't an ACR.
As far as the water coming into the car (I assume it gets the rear footwells wet) it isn't the rear window leaking. Replace the tail lamp gaskets. Problem solved

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

well when listing your car there is no option for base only ES,SE, ACR etc. so I went with the closest model.
I do plan on do some conversions to the ES model. The vin is confusing to what is supposed to be there, will need a build sheet to get the real scoop.
I am not a fan of automatic cars. Yet it seems the only option in any vehicle now a days!

It is the rear footwells. Never thought about the tail lamp gaskets. Could be a reason why the trunk gasket is wet and water runs into the car that way. Didn't think it was the door. It only occured when the car was on a tilt to one side or the other. Like near a curb. Sitting flat it doesn't do it. So This gives me a new direction in which to go for this issue.
I know that it's not an ACR its the only closest option that I had near my car. Might be closer to the ES. Still working on obtaining a build sheet just to be sure. It is a base model, but the car is from Enterprise rental before the dealership got it. Rental companies tend to get the basic stock models to rent whenever possible.

Bought it in AZ while I lived in Tucson, car came from Phoenix. Then moved out to GA. Been here ever since. I love the car even though it does seem plain for my model, but love tuning cars no matter what it is! (even did mods on the old dodge van we had while in AZ!)

Ok finally got some pics of the car in my garage. most of them are the before pics to see what my car used to look like.
had to reorganize my pic on photobucket since I haven't used it in a few years.
Next up is the mods I need to work on. Not sure if I want to tackle the drum to disk swap or start with the yellowed headlight plastic and go from there.....

1st mod, but needed regardless
I finally got some new TIRES for my car. I have been using used tires for way to long. Haven't had any real issue, but now that I finally got enough money to get some basic tread, it will work till I can upgrade to 15's!
I am currently working on the damn O2 sensor in the CAT. Sucks that the part is overprice IMO. I wish I didn't have to use them and just bypass them, but that's for a later time, if I decide to do the ECU upgrade.
Working on the headlights and taillights next. They both need to be updated and will then see about the bumpers and side skirts next!

Welcome to the forum!
You might want to start a project log, instead of posting here, as it is mainly just an intro thread.
May as well make your posts count.
(In case you want to post parts for sale someday)
